I wonder when the media is going to visit a coffee shop in Royal Oak to discuss why Republicans are getting slaughtered in Oakland County?

Got to love the Republican strategy of encouraging their voters to only vote on election day and passing on the option to bank votes.

John James won by 1,600 votes. I went from be represented by Andy Levin to John James. This really sours the mood.

The runoff was January 5th before the insurrection. You did have Trump yelling fraud and Loeffler trying to play both sides.

Well Marlinga just conceded so it's over. It was so close and there for the taking.

I still haven't seen an official call of MI-10. There's less than 2,000 votes between them. If there is outstanding vote still out in southern Macomb, this isn't over.

The senate confirms the judges. A Republican house would just end any legislation getting passed.

It's also possible people turned out for Kemp and checked Walker and aren't motivated to turn out just for Walker.

It really looks like Boebert is going down.

I think there is still a good chunk of vote left in Detroit. Whitmer, Benson, and possibly Nessel are going to win by double digits.

Another state that should have been flipped in a red wave.

Here's the thing, running strong candidates in red leaning states works. Ryan is probably the reason those house districts flipped. Republicans put in millions to defend the seat that could have been spent on PA, AZ,GA etc.

Ohio is not deep red. Obama won Michigan by larger margins than Trump won Ohio and Republicans didn't right it off and came back in 2016 and won it.

Looking like Marlinga lost by less than 2,000 votes. It's so frustrating because this was a winnable seat and Democrats just wrote it off early. Marlinga was a fine candidate for the district, he was just severely underfunded yet put up a good fight because he was on the ground every day. John James also ran the best campaign of any Republican in Michigan. He didn't get caught up talking about kid's genitals like the rest of the Republicans. He kept on message about economic issues. The Michigan GOP is in shambles right now so James has to be the leader as of now.

Man, Marlinga gave it a shot but looks like will fall short. Democrats could have won this seat.

With Slotkin called, only thing left is MI-10. Not sure what vote is remaining but Marlinga is down 8 with over 50% left. If that's from southern Macomb County, he has a shot.

It does seem that Democrats are underwhelming in California and New York. I was kind of afraid of that since abortion is already pretty safe there.
