  1. I was literally one of the first people on this forum to mention Lamar Jackson. I suggested the Lions look at him before most other people. That was before the season and Goff has proved himself to be the QB he was in 2017-2018 and Lamar Jackson isn't as good as I thought he was.
  2. I mean, I'm just posting the numbers that show Goff is more productive than Jackson. $45 million is the going rate for a good QB. It's more important to look at guaranteed value. Goff will probably get half the guarantees as Jackson. They don't need cap space in two to three years. Drafting a QB because of cap space is idiotic.
  3. The Vikings are projected to be $15 million over the cap. Thielen seems to be an obvious cut candidate. They could restructure Cousins but that would kick a lot of money over to 2024 when he would no longer be under contract. Minnesota is going to have to be creative. With Rodgers likely gone this is the Lions division to lose.
  4. Looking more and more like the Lions are separating themselves in the division.
  5. I should clarify I meant Jameson. I do think Chark being there is a good sign. Not sure I would be working out with players if I knew I wasn't going to be on the team but players from other teams workout together in the offseason so it wouldn't be unheard of.
  6. What's funny about the collusion is that Jackson can't negotiate with teams yet. All we have are a few teams who said they wouldn't be interested. He may get a contract offer the first day free agency opens up.
  7. Haven't been following what this beef is about but that to the rest of the division having issues.
  8. Interesting Chark was there but not Williams.
  9. He went by Joey and not Joe. You didn't see Joey Flacco or Joey Montana winning Super Bowls.
  10. They don't have their ace in the hole anymore. I read the Rams board on occasion and they're wondering why they aren't finding as many players in the late rounds as they used to.
  11. That isn't necessary. McConnell wasn't attacked by someone the Dems have radicalized. McConnell fell on his own because he's too old and should be in a nursing home.
  12. The Rams would probably be willing to get out of Aaron Donald's contract but they can't because the cap hit will be enormous.
  13. I understand giving Stafford the contract. You gave up a lot to get him and he rewarded you with a Super Bowl. I think injuries caught up to him sooner than I thought.
  14. The Rams basically have 4 1sts, 2 2nd's, and 2 3rd's plus a couple hundred million in salary into their QB for one Super Bowl and are now looking at a brutal rebuild. I can't help but think they could have spent those resources better.
  15. The extension Stafford signed with the Rams kicks in this year. The extension hasn't even started yet and they want to move on from him.
  16. McConnell fell and suffered a concussion. This is how they treat their own.
  17. The Rams wouldn't do it, but if I'm the Texans I would trade them a random player plus a mid to late pick for Stafford and a 1st. I would cut Stafford right away. The Rams will probably be bad next year so you basically bought a high draft pick. Basically like the Brock Osweiler trade with Cleveland.
  18. What a difference two years makes. The Rams had to pay to make Goff go away. They probably can't even pay to make Stafford go away and Goff actually has trade value now.
  19. I would also add that in 2021 Goff's top receivers were the likes of Tom Kennedy, Kalif Raymond, Khaderal Hodge and a rookie St Brown. Swift was also injured and Jamaal Williams. They relied on a RB named Netflix because he wasn't even in the league. The LT missed half the season and the center missed most of the season. The team surrounding Jackson is an excuse but not for Goff. Despite that, in 2021 Goff had an identical QB rating to Jackson, had more total yards, and only one fewer TD.
  20. Amazing how Goff always ends up with the best coaches. The Lions are a longstanding organization known for their impeccable coaching.
  21. If the Rams trade Stafford pre June 1st, they would lose $54 million in cap space. His dead cap number is $75 million. Post June 1st would be a cap savings of $1.5 million. Stafford's cap hit in 2024 is $49.5 million and $50.5 million in 2025 when he is 37. I'm not sure what team would want that. I think for better or worse the Rams and the Stafford are stuck with each other. McVay probably won't be around to see the end of it.
  22. Stafford is untradeable.
  23. I would be curious to know if Cominsky prefers Soldier Field or Ford Field.
  24. Who was the last QB like Jackson to win a Super Bowl? Mahomes is mobile but he has never rushed for more than 380 yards in a season. QB runs are just not an integral part of his game. Looking at recent winners, Stafford is not mobile. Brady certainly isn't. Both Manning's were statues. Flacco was a statue. The only one that comes to mind is Russell Wilson and he was a better pocket passer than Jackson. It's just not sustainable play.
