  1. What did their inept front office think was going to happen when they didn’t trade the #3 pick for a veteran to help Dame now and instead chose his replacement and a slow rebuild.
  2. Be very, very careful making future predictions based on these numbers. We were supposed to see similar falloffs in YoY numbers a few times already this year and did not. The numbers are being manipulated to try and get a soft landing instead of a recession going into an election year. The CPI and jobs reports over the past few months have been odd. Too many random anomalies (look at used cars YoY), staggering variances between the results of different surveys used, and out of the blue “updates to seasonal adjustment methodologies” are just of few areas. This is still a rigged game so make absolutely positive you are on the right side before playing.
  3. A solid top 6 forward. Strengthens 2nd line where he can either center or wing.
  4. 35 year old Brook Lopez gets a 2 year/$48M deal to go back to Milwaukee. What a time to be in the league where a decent role player can make this kind of windfall at the end of his career.
  5. He’s done his part and multiple front offices have repeatedly **** all over themselves for years trying to put a team around him. The guy wants a chance to win before he’s done. Dame has done nothing wrong here.
  6. I don’t need Twitter working to know Leafs fans are surely happy to part with Holl.
  7. Same issue. I do get some random updated posts mixed with my old feed. This one came through with some of today’s moves
  8. Rebuilding in the Eastern Conference is many, many times harder than in the West. Seattle doesn’t make the playoffs last year and Vegas would be very unlikely to have made any of their past playoff runs had they been in the East.
  9. I like Kostin. Young player that scored some big goals during the playoffs and did it without the luxury of playing many shifts with McJesus. Honestly a great pickup for nothing from Stevie. I don’t see much from Yamamoto. Great skater but can’t do anything else and won’t have 97 and 29 around him anymore. His best move may be to retire and take up short track speed skating. He’d be a potential Olympic medalist
  10. Say it ain’t so
  11. Absolutely the best name in this draft.
  12. This is right about the Kings and PLD. The depth of talent allows them to take a shot. They now have possibly the best Center depth in the league with Kopitar, PLD, and Danault. Add in Fiala, Kempe, and Arvidsson and that’s a strong top 6. Quentin Byfield is still just 20 and only starting to scratch the surface of what his talent could become. One thing about PLD. If you knowingly put a young star on a team coached by a John Torterella and it doesn’t go right, that’s on the team and the front office and not the player. Torts is the absolute worst with young players and honestly shouldn’t be coaching anymore. It’s sort of like when the game passed by Mike Keenan and his style no longer resonated with the next generation of player.
  13. This is insanely bad. Flames front office and scouting room are trash.
  14. Im only watching for the hot moms.
  15. Let’s go Sal Perez and Kerry Carp anytime HR, and a McKinstry SB
  16. I had someone tell me the other day that pickleball is actually dangerous. Apparently, the small court gives some of these seniors a false sense of security and they run and lunge after balls they never would on a larger tennis court. All sorts of knee, ankle, and Achilles injuries popping up. Makes sense I guess.
  17. Both LA teams Both LA teams sell out every game. Granted many of these are to opposing fans but the stadium is still filled every week.
  18. The point would be that he’d start day 1 as one of the top 5 pitchers in the organization. If he pitches like you expect a college arm picked at 3, then you don’t worry about clock and hope that he plays so well that you can actually save more money in the long run by signing him to an early extension rather than slowing the clock.
  19. Rendon is miles away from a Judge or Cole that are at the top of the game right now.
  20. See there was a reason that I said 3 players and not 2. If the Angels had either Aaron Judge or Garrett Cole there’s a good chance they are defending World Series champs and in the driver seat for another this year.
  21. Trout has also been injured with regularity since Ohtani joined the Angels.
  22. They are really just 3 players away from being one of the top teams in the AL. Those players are Ohtani, Judge, and Cole
  23. I would like them to select Skenes and Kaline him straight into the major league rotation. Give him a few starts and then shut him down until next year.
  24. Goose is better. Andy Frasco and Tommy Stinson get thumbs up.
