Week Five: Carolina Panthers (0-4) @ Detroit Lions (3-1)

I’m excited to see Kalif Raymond take on ASB’s role in the offense. He’s been able to step up with big catches when called upon the past two years. For a guy that was initially signed for his return game, his growth as a dependable slot WR has been impressive. -

I’ve never been to prison but I’d assume that on my first day, I’d be feeling a lot like Packer fans do right now. -

Kitna2Furrey got the site quoted in ESPN Magazine with one of his nutty posts. Side note - I miss sports magazines

How much money is there for the next coach? MSU’s largest benefactor leveraged more than half his wealth to buy the Phoenix Suns.

Week Three: Atlanta Falcons (2-0) @ Detroit Lions (1-1)

If you take all the credit during wins then you have to take blame for losses. If Kirk were here, I’m sure he’d say this loss is on Jesus. The all power just wasn’t there and didn’t get it done today. -
Super talented squad that got better by losing Tommy Rees. I don’t believe in the head coach. Freeman is great in front of a camera but not ready for this job and what it takes between the lines. I’ve got just the opposite. Harbaugh is back and magically both sides become dominant. UM by 5 TD.

I am of the opinion that stopping Atlanta from running at will and preventing Ridder from using his feet to pick up big 3rd downs will have a much bigger impact on the outcome than the availability of anyone on today’s injury report. -
I’ve always been a 100% Covid believer. I followed all the rules and didn’t think twice about getting vaxxed multiple times in the past. Right now, I don’t see a reason to run out and get myself an updated booster. I don’t see any strains out there that seem dangerous. I am more concerned with a bad flu bug.

This is a huge embarrassment for MSU but in the grand scheme of things this is just a football coach behaving badly. As an institution, it’s not like it was the University President who was caught in an inappropriate sexual relationship with someone who worked for him. Can you imagine a situation of having to fire the man in charge of everything for being a creeper. Now something like that would be a major stain toward the reputation of a university and their administration.

I am tired of hearing how good a player Alim McNeil can be. I want to start seeing it every week. -

Week Two: Seattle Seahawks (0-1) @ Detroit Lions (1-0)

If they win next week, they are 2-1 after 3 games, which is a number that everyone would’ve been happy with at the start of the season. -
A definite positive of being one of the most irrelevant franchises in all of pro sports is that Jarmo doesn’t get nearly as much heat as he should for being one of the worst GM’s alive.

Some positives from yesterday: LaPorta looked like a beast. Love the toughness. He’s in a different mold than Hockenson. I can’t wait to see more of him. Josh Reynolds was awesome. Not sure he can keep that level of play but he was a weapon. Cam Sutton looked like the top corner than we brought him into become. Once Moseley gets back this will be a great duo. David Montgomery was also as advertised. The fumble was bad but everything else he did was tough running. The offense showed for a while without him in there. ASB continues to be such a stud. The definition of grit and toughness on the team. Tough game to lose but this is what Pete Carroll does. He’s been making in game adjustments and out coaching people going on 40 years now. He doesn’t get enough credit for how good he is in game. He just knows how to flip the switch at halftime and get his team going in the right direction. -
There is only one Stanley Cup! It has a single reference point that everyone in the world knows and has acknowledged for over 100 years. This is not the Stanley Cup! It’s absolute insanity that when you now Google, this is what comes up, first.

Week Two: Seattle Seahawks (0-1) @ Detroit Lions (1-0)

There was too much emphasis on leaving Seattle without any time on the clock and not enough on scoring a TD. This was critical error in judgement. Coaching didn’t lose this game but better coaching decisions at the end probably win it. -

My biggest take away from today is no more ski masks. -
Amazingly, its happened already this season.

I’m good with ski masks as long as next week CJGJ isn’t encouraging fans to come to the game in an old Ford panel van with no windows. -
No need for a lockout. The Big 3 should give the UAW everything they want and then pass the added cost to the consumer by raising prices. Everyone else does. This is how big business operates these days in most other industries. Why bother with a sound business model with a supply chain and infrastructure that limits inefficiencies and waste when you have a consumer that will always pay more and won’t ever say enough is enough.
