  1. And don’t forget they still have Cephus!
  2. Is a high end speed WRreally a big deal when Jared Goff is your QB? I don’t think so but you know what they signed Chark so we will see that on a smaller scale that maybe it does make a big difference in the offense and they can go this route next year.
  3. If you are looking at the just the picks and not the big picture then it’s a great draft. I don’t hate the picks either They got two good players. I’d have gone another direction instead of Willams
  4. He’s not one of the best WR in the game. He’s a weed dealer now.
  5. Many of the best WR in the game were drafted outside of the first round. The Lions last 2 Great WR drafted were 3rd and 4th rounders. It was a luxury pick that high for a team not in the best position to do so.
  6. I don’t know any of these people.
  7. Linebacker, linebacker, safety, another cb. They signed DJ Chark to fill the exact role you described. We also don’t know if Amon-Ra could play outside full time but I bet he could if they chose to use him that way. Williams is great for down the road but they aren’t there yet. Especially with Jared Goff at QB. This team is still 2 years away from being good at a minimum.
  8. This draft reminds of when my wife bought the ridiculous Dyson vacuum because it was on sale for $100 off. The thing still cost $450. She insisted it was a great deal. We could’ve bought so many other things that we needed which were more important for our house with that money but she got distracted by the great deal and the shiny new object. Side note in what In may be a good sign for the Lions, turns out the Dyson is amazing and works a million times better than our previous vacuum. I’m not sure it’s worth the price but the outrageous purchase definitely grew on me.
  9. Hopefully Jamison will be better than the other two Williams WR the Lions drafted on the 1st round.
  10. His cognitive abilities are declining fast.
  11. Chark won’t mind because this is the business of the NFL. Things change. He had other options and chose the Lions as team without speed WR to showcase himself for a year and try the market again in 2023.
  12. I don’t believe for a second that Williams was disappointed to picked by the Lions. Dude was still limping on the stage just a few months from major knee surgery. He had to be ecstatic that he was still picked high. DJ Chark is the one that may not be so happy the Lions picked Williams but that’s the business of the NFL
  13. None of those beaten up guys left the field on a cart.
  14. Has - as in 4 years ago. Something happened to him and he’s not the same guy. There’s a reason they gave up on him.
  15. What wins in the NFL is a suoerstar QB leading a high end offense. The Lions have Jared Goff
  16. Oruwariye and Walker are the only ones that I would consider high end talent. Possibly Melafonwu
  17. How would you have felt had they made the trade and picked Hamilton instead of Williams?
  18. I’m interested to see who they get and if they even pick ar 46 but there is a drop off in trading back from 34 to 46. It’s not as inconsequential as you are making it out to be.
  19. We also traded our top of the 5th round pick this year for WR Trinity Benson . That’s not looking so good at this moment
  20. They have very little high end talent at LB and DB. Almost none of it is young. You need these positions to win. WR is arguably one of their deeper positions on the Lions with AmonRa, Reynolds, Chark, Cephus. There are so many holes on the defense that I would’ve preferred to fill some instead of trading extra picks for another WR
  21. There’s no way Dean is there at 46. Zero chance
  22. They can’t take a QB at 46. It’s got to be a defensive back 7 player. Although I think there’s a real possibility he will trade back for a 3rd and 4th.
  23. I like the aggressiveness of the trade and I like getting Hutch and Williams. If I’m being honest I would’ve preferred to stay at 32/34 and getting Cine and Dean over Williams
  24. I’ve come full circle and have moved away from wanting Willis at 2. I’m back to KT as my choice. I wouldn’t be terribly upset if it was Hutch instead.
  25. Gardner or Hamilton at 2 Any QB other than Willis at 32
