When it rains…

First, I am going to break the longstanding Motown Forums tradition of never admitting you were wrong. I was dead wrong about the gameplan for the last 2 games. They weren’t holding anything back against Fresno. They have a very limited offense behind these QBs and OL and with an inexperienced playcaller. I thought this team would be good this season based on the talent on defense. They have 7 or 8 guys that will get drafted in the NFL over the next few years. Texas with Ewers and that OL is really good and I don’t expect most teams to beat up on them that way. Still, it’s apparent the replacements at LB for Coltson & Barrett are a huge drop off. They need to be much better. USC will be a challenge and very telling what’s going on with the defense. I also made the assumption as many others did that the OL would be better than they’ve played. It was never going to be like the last few years units but I expected better. I don’t know what the solutions are here. QB is obviously a problem but the OL needs to perform better to adequately judge Warren. I don’t think he much but he really hasn’t had much time to throw at all.

All that really matters from week 1 is that we are 1-0

These are some of the worse announcers in the business. Not surprised they haven’t made any comment on the absence of Edwards. Is he hurt, is he benched, is this some weird rotation from the coaches?

Semaj Morgan celebrates like a good receiver. That’s got to count for something.

Campbell only got the QB coach job because Weiss got caught up in that internet scandal and got fired. He was lucky enough in only season on the job to walk into a fully polished JJ McCarthy. He was in the right place at the right time again to get promoted up again to OC. Lucky guy.

I underestimated the coaching on this team (and I wasn’t that high on it in the first place). Campbell looks like a guy that got fired at Old Dominion in his only other chance calling plays and maybe there’s a reason why Wink still isnt in the NFL. Sharrone obviously made a huge mistake in assessing his talent at QB in the offseason and not using the portal.

The LB #1 Barham is a transfer from Maryland and he’s played like a Maryland LB so far. Side note: Why are they letting a LB wear #1

They are coached by Sark. It shouldn’t be that much of surprise when it’s over.

Injury prone Ewers may not even be able to finish the game against the Michigan defense.

I love Michigan getting 7 and think they have a great chance to win outright. Sark is one of the most overhyped coaches in the country. He doesn’t have a good history of winning big games. Ewers is really good but Michigan defense will give Texas fits especially in the 2nd half. I expect a much different look on offense as well. Michigan 24 Texas 17

Jordan Love will be fine. He will rehab and will probably get back to the same level. If not, he has $100M in guaranteed money on the contract that he got after only 1 season as a starter. The Packers on the other hand are totally ****ed and I absolutely love it. It’s a huge benefit for the Lions if he’s out for the year. **** the Packers!
