I’m not sure how Washington is still standing. Michigan absolutely dominated 20 minutes. Not sure what happened last 10 minutes. JJ wasn’t good at all that stretch.

What a weird half of championship football

I know the popular thought is Michigan needs to pound the run and control the clock. This Washington defense is very beatable over the top. I think UM will look to take advantage and have more than a few big shots in the game plan similar to OSU last year.

I think St.Brown in the Germany game is a lock this season. He should really start advantage of his German heritage and their insatiable appetite for America. He could be the next Hoff. He’s missing out if there isn’t a German reality TV crew following him around next year.

Lions fans should keep an eye on Washington DE Braylon Trice. He’s projected to be a late first rounder and fits the bill for what Brad is looking for.

That would be an incredible statement holding this offense to 13 points.

College stats don’t really matter for NFL projections. Look at the tape on Caleb Williams and you will see him do things that only a few QB’s alive can do. The physical skills are off the charts.

I really hope that whenever the Lions game is Dan Orlovsky isn’t doing color. He’s so terrible. Talks way too much with ridiculous superlatives. He just compared George Pickens to Calvin. He’s worse at this than he was as an NFL QB.

He’s going to make $40M dollars for 4 years of being a deep bench backup. I think his bust NBA career turned out fine.

If Weaver truly believes that a defense first mentality can work, the organization needs to make a complete pivot away from basketball. All scouts and personnel people fired and replaced by scientists and engineers. Every dollar should be spent on researching time travel and finding a way to build a time machine. That’s the only way it could work.

I agree the team needs to make big moves but it takes a special type of idiot to allow Weaver to make the calls on them. Absolute insanity.

By the same token, it also makes sense to not even spend 1 second of effort preparing for a complete disaster situation. That time can be better used somewhere else.

Among all of these massive changes to the core of college football, one has to wonder if it isn’t time for another challenge to the draft eligibility rules. Will Johnson is a top 5 pick in this draft but isn’t eligible. I think if he can handle Odunze in a similar way that he did Harrison there will start to be more talk about him and the draft rules. If we are moving towards a free agent model, it only makes sense to loosen the current 3 years out of high school rule and give that option to unique players that are ready.
