  1. This Torkelson kid is really going to be something. What power!!!
  2. Looks like the powers that be at USA Hockey chose to start Alex Nedeljkovic instead today against Slovakia. Not a good choice as Ned let in 4 on 16 shots and is replaced by Trey in the 2nd.
  3. What’s Mario Impemba up to these days? I wonder if he’ll swing by Comerica Park the next few days and pull up a chair to catch up with old friends.
  4. The Timberwolves comparison that excites me is they are proving you don’t need solid ownership to build a contender.
  5. Alex Lyon got cut on his hand yesterday at Worlds and is out of the tournament. Trey Augustine came in and played well and looks to be the starter the rest of the way. This is very, very rare for U20 college goalie to get this kind of experience against pros at Worlds.
  6. Every.Single.Game. Multiple missed calls behind the plate
  7. Some great vids up. This is one of my favorites they do live.
  8. Congrats to everyone!
  9. I’d be shocked if the underworld gambling types haven’t already found a way to get at least one and maybe even a few umps in their pocket. MLB’s blind eye toward poor umpiring has to be one of the biggest game fixing opportunities to ever exist. An ump can very easily impact over/under run totals as well as strikeout totals for both SP based on how much they want to stretch the zone. Nobody will ever question it as MLB lets them call whatever zone they want without any repercussions. Managers or players are immediately ejected for disputing and aren’t allowed to comment publicly on it after games. They can call whatever they want and the league will never do anything to reprimand other than maybe not get a playoff assignment. I’m sure a majority a true blue to the game of baseball but there have to be a few that view it just as a job to make as much money as possible.
  10. Have either ever been represented by Arn, Arn’s agent son, or the firm that Arn pulled strings to get his kid the job? If the answer is no to all three, there’s a better than average chance the Pistons won’t purse.
  11. I also used the handy search tool and found the word “rad” has been used a total of 13 times in site history. Every occurrence was by you @pfife . I’m still a fan of GenX slang but rad is a bit dated and my kid would call it out as cringe. Maybe take a chill pill on rad and try to mix in a bitchin, gnarly, tubular, or even a bodacious. All are phat options. Never a bad idea to keep things fresh as you never know when some moron is going to go back into the search feature and call you out for some bs from years ago. Peace Out!
  12. Great experience for both the Wings current and possibly future goalies. Not sure how Petry got the call but hopefully he’s last on the depth chart.
  13. The Cowboys are a better comp for Leafs than the Yankees.
  14. Generational Player!!!
  15. Yet another horrendous call that impacts a close game. MLB does nothing and in a way I don’t blame them since it’s not just Angel anymore. It’s 95% of these clowns they have back there. They have no choice to put their head in the sand and ignore it unless they pull the robot lever which they won’t do .
  16. MLB has allowed poorly called balls and strikes to become a part of the game. It happens multiple times in almost every game.
  17. No hurt in signing him to a vet minimum contract and inviting him to camp to see if he can win a job.
  18. Does he throw the ball at the wrong fan and then causally ask for it back like “oh my bad” only to chuck 10 times harder right back at who he wanted to hit? Beverly and his entire Bucks team should be immediately banned from the rest of the playoffs.
  19. This was one day event. Show up, march and leave. These protests are a much more involved commitment. Put your life on hold complete with trespassing and civil disobedience.
  20. It took 4 people to write the article. Stoners.
  21. I’m not much of a conspiracy guy but this seems to be the only logical conclusion.
  22. What is going on to make this the flashpoint issue to garner this level of protest on American college campuses? I understand there are humanitarian concerns but why is this cause the one that has incited the far left? They are protesting at levels that we didn’t come close to seeing on campus for more pressing issues for liberal Americans. Where was this support for Ukraine against Putin? Where was this support to defend Roe? Where is this type of protest against guns and school shootings? I’m boggled at the reason that’s causing American students to pick a known terror organization in Hamas to be the issue they have chosen to hang their hat at this level. It just doesn’t make much sense.
  23. Not sure you can sit out an elimination game because you are sick and still be considered a generational player.
