They spent the last 2 seasons developing very complex and interesting characters that people want to watch. This season they oddly chose to let them essentially freestyle without any plot or story to engage the viewer. It doesn’t work.

Marcus Freeman is an impressive guy. He’d probably be a highly successful leader in almost any industry. Football is its own thing and the jury is still very much out on him. He’s got a QB and a roster that can do special things for him. He had the same last year and it didn’t work to plan.
