  1. I am not against the Lions using the 6th pick to take a QB if they fall in love with the potential of one of the QBs. If it were me I’m rolling with Goff next year so if I’m taking QB I’m taking the one with highest ceiling and don’t worry about the bust potential. IMO my order would be 1a- Richardson 1b- Levis 2- Stroud 3- Young Young has the lowest ceiling imo and I don’t like short QBs. Stroud is the best QB to me but I believe him to be the most mentally soft. I also don’t like Alabama or OSU QBs as they had a silver spoon given to them all college. Richardson and Levis have size, arm strength and athletic ability. If you believe you can coach them up I think their ceiling is extremely high. If they bomb out you still had another 1st rounder in a deep draft in your position of need.
  2. Not sure that's correct as it looks like you could slid up to 6 spots. At least if this site is correct in displaying the odds and playing with the calculator. https://www.tankathon.com/mlb/pick_odds
  3. I am a fan of banning the shift. I actually believe it will help at bats move away from being two dimensional, strike out or home run. The shift allowed pitchers to pitch into the shift and limiting the ability to hit the other way. Yes it’s true that the best hitters still could do it but usually with less positive results. So what did hitters do, they changed their approach to just go with the pitch and change the launch angle and try to hit it as far as possible. Led to more swing and misses which also increases pitch counts for the pitchers. I believe that by banning the shift pitches will move back to using the whole plate and will put more balls into play. With that said the part of the rule I don’t like is that infielders can’t be in the grass. Where is that line and is it the same in every ball park? I don’t believe MLB should take away all of the tools a defense has to create good angles for themselves. just my opinion of course.
  4. I dont see his bat speed as an issue. I think he is in his head a lot right now. This is a guy who has never struggled for long at any level. I believe he needs to get out of his head in the batters box as he looks indecisive which has not been an issue in the past. I don’t know if it’ll be later this year or next year but I believe his bat still has huge upside for us, even if he’s not had the start everyone was hoping that he would be right away.
  5. Let's be honest injuries are part of the game but at this rate you have to start thinking that changes need to be made with our strength and conditioning staff and program.
