  1. When did he ever play nice? He's committed war crimes from the start of this war. Strategically this means nothing, Bakhmut was already a shell of its former self and just the latest example of what this war is doing to Ukraine. It's Russia just trying to rub salt in the wounds. I've been skeptical of the Bakhmut strategy from Ukraine, but it's clear the 'win' Russia got in conquering and destroying this city cost them greatly. Now let's root for a Ukraine offensive that actually leads to the end of this war.
  2. Looks like Kadyrov lived up to his word, but in true gutless fashion, sent incendiary munitions instead of men.
  3. That being said, i'm sure the Kremlin is livid over him talking about this. I suspect Putin is hoping he accidently falls out of a hotel window, but I wonder if this guy has become one of the few that Putin can't just make that happen too.
  4. I understand the administration has no direct control over the Fed. But Biden's economic plan appears to be to let the Fed be the main driver in stopping inflation. The only tool the Fed has in doing that is increasing interest rates which puts strain on the economy and costs jobs and lower wages. Record low unemployment appears to be the reason why the Biden administration is good with that, but i'm not sold that's the best plan for low and middle income folks. https://www.epi.org/blog/corporate-profits-have-contributed-disproportionately-to-inflation-how-should-policymakers-respond/ Considering we've known for some time that record company profit is a significant portion of our inflation numbers, it's almost like maybe that would be a selling point to have a democratic administration rather than a GOP administration that likely would simply say 'the market will straighten it out' and let the Fed hurt poor and middle income families.
  5. https://www.audacy.com/wwjnewsradio/news/local/nessel-responds-to-questions-over-caribbean-getaway Nessel looks like she'll fit in well at SCOTUS should they clear a spot for her.
  6. Republican's are finally bringing ideas to the table. With Biden not doing anything about inflation outside of letting the Fed use their only tool, which adds to short term inflation, the republicans step up. This is what is good about a two party system. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/white-house-economists-warns-of-recession-as-debt-ceiling-fight-drags-on oh vey.
  7. It might make our leaders job a bit more difficult, but I'm going to support a free media to report on anything that shows up in public. I personally feel that's a big reason that sets us apart from the likes of Russia and I think that's a good thing.
  8. Hence why you need a 'state run' insignia. The media has the right to report on it. The people should understand that the documents can not be authenticated and take the information with a grain of salt, and it should be reported that way, which I have seen on the very little bit of reporting on the information itself. The part I referenced from the leaked docs also had other reporting supporting the same issue prior to the documents being found so I personally do believe that is a concern. While it would be easier for Biden and your agency to have everyone blindly follow our dear leader and truly believe we have no concerns, because everything is perfect and we shouldn't worry about anything, is ironically what you want for yourself, yet say is the most important thing for us to fight against in Ukraine.
  9. Dude, saying the documents were leaked doesn't mean I support the unauthorized disclosures or support some objective you believe I have in regards to them. I never said that. It was illegal, that guy should be severely punished for the harm he's done. But the information is now out there. If you're upset with me following media reports about what was in the docs, that's ridiculous.
  10. In this case, yes. Generally you can shorten up what you're saying to describe other times when classified information was put out by someone: “Leak” is unauthorized disclosure So re-reading my original post, can you tell me how or why you found me saying 'leak' offensive?
  11. You hate referencing them to what they are? Nothing is offensive about the term. Spies can steal and leak documents, the DoD routinely (and hopefully at the direction of the WH meaning it's legal) leaks information to the media, Dumbass 20 year old's that want to look cool for his fellow gamers, perform espionage, and leak documents to his buddy's on a discord server.
  12. We need to get a 'state run media' insignia for you. I simply stated that they were leaked, I did not say whistleblower. Leaking documents does not translate to whistleblower. As for modified, I'm absolutely confident enemies of the state modified some to blur the lines of what is and is not real. There is legitimate reporting, mostly out of European media as US media is still all 'Rah rah, war is great!', that has talked about concerns out of Ukraine in recruiting more folks even before the leaked documents were found.
  13. I know I'll sound like a Russian agent by posting this, but this is exactly why 'just give them anything they want for as long as they can fight' has it's drawbacks. I want them to win, but let's not pretend there are no risks involved for us and our allies. https://news.yahoo.com/russian-jet-almost-shot-down-135537698.html I consider myself as a bit of a news junkie, odd to me that I'm just seeing this now.
  14. Based on some of the leaked documents, it sounds like we're more concerned about Ukraine being able to keep up a force than we are with Russia, which is believed to be larger today than it was when this war started. That said, once conscription starts hitting more of your urban population (Putin's non-base, if you will), things could get interesting.
  15. IIRC, he refused to say that he would vote for Trump, but said he would support the 2024 nominee, whoever it is. When pressed that it means he could support Trump, he said Trump will not be the nominee. Bull**** response still. He's trying to play the Never Trump line without alienating that group. Asa and Larry Hogan are about the only republicans that I could possibly vote for if the opponent is Biden/Harris. My never Trumpness is still high though, so not sure I see a path for them with me at least.
  16. I will hate voting for Biden much more than I did last time, especially every time I see Harris mess up some staged event. But that won't keep me from showing up early to do it should the opponent be Trump or anyone that has been Trumpy.
  17. Good thing for Dems is that their #1 source for money comes from Rich business guys who want lower taxes and less regulation (for themselves).
  18. Drew and Mike Podcast interviewed this guy yesterday. Interesting guy that apparently works mostly to confirm if software has been stolen by another party. He also doubts he'll see any cash as he thinks by the time Lindell gets through with Dominion and Smartmatic there won't be any for him. The day of the judgement he did receive an extra coupon for being such a great My Pillow customer though.
  19. Carlson and Lemon should do a crossfire style show on AM 910, the Superstation!
  20. If this interview played a role, than he was on some extremely thin ice already. Which legitimately he should have been. That said, this is classic primetime cable news bull****, which i'm told CNN doesn't want to be a part of in primetime, let alone their morning show. He doesn't listen to the guys response, granted a producer is in his ear causing that, tells him to explain again and gets a paraphrased response when he asks for him to explain again. Granted that's not Lemon's fault, but then he goes on to say the guy is wrong because he was discounting reconstruction and other things done after the civil war, then completing contradicts himself saying blacks hadn't received their rights which is why the civil rights era started. As for the NRA training black people how to shoot, I don't know, but historically the NRA was nothing like it was today. Early on it definitely had much less to do with politics and more to do with promoting (accurate) shooting. Is this guy over valuing the NRA in terms of civil rights, quite possibly, but I can assure you Lemon has no clue when he says it's an absolute lie that they had no involvement.
  21. I run a 2 round mock daily just for fun. As I'm not in charge of making the salary cap work, I went for the trade offer: 6. DE Will Anderson Trade 18, 152 for 35 and Colts DT Buckner 35. TE Darnell Washington 48. CB DJ Turner 55. WR Rashee Rice Wish I could go back and look at what receivers were available at 35 but I've been gung ho on taking Mayer or Washington if they get to us in the 2nd round.
  22. The economic policies themselves is what they appeal to. They find ways to justify the debt. Everyone is power some how figures out how to do that now. A new norm.
  23. I'm clearly not paying attention to the same media as you. DeSantis absolutely was the golden child of the GOP for awhile there, but he's gone full social conservative and that's dulled his luster. I think the GOP troll base likes his Disney war, but your fiscally conservative folks, that want Trump but without the mess and thought DeSantis was that answer, were put off. Add in this recent abortion bill and I haven't heard anything good about DeSantis for awhile. For Whitmer, the best thing for her might not to have a bunch of attention early. Right now conservatives would love to point out the similarities of Trump and his potentially illegal payments to Stormy Daniels to Whitmer and her potentially illegal payments to Maroun and friends.
  24. Don't go overboard. She happens to agree with you on abortion. She's still a little crazy.
