    Not surprising, right? Was a pitcher before being drafted and considered a strong arm. I agree with the notion of playing him at 3B, until he absolutely proves he is completely incapable of it. The other option is 2B, but that spot is probably easier to solve.

    He’s the kind of pitcher you would take a chance on in free agency. Except that we already have him.

    At best, he’s making $150K in real estate in those areas and type of buyers. I would think a full-time radio gig would pay at least $300K?!?

    I don’t think you give up on a talent like Turnbull, yet, especially for next season. At the very least, he could be a trade chip if he can restore his value. If not, you’re out $8-10M for one season, which is worth the risk.

    Good question. He’s also a realtor in Oakland County, though I don’t think his activity is in Birmingham or Bloomfield Hills, where the bigger bucks are.

    Plus, why not see what you have in Lipcius or Wenceel, as you have to make decisions regarding the 40 man this offseason? I can’t imagine them keeping both again, if presented with a roster crunch. Plus, as noted, give the playing time to Short and let Diaz provide bench depth.

    I would be shocked if Turnbull isn’t called up when he has to be, unless he’s involved in the decision to stay in Toledo for further refinements. If nothing else to eat some innings.
