  1. Couldn’t you just cut Ibanez or demote Maton? Neither would be missed. I do think the OF will be Greene, Meadows and Carpenter most of the time. Baddoo will likely see his playing time decline in the process. You don’t call up Parker to sit. So, does Greene move to LF? The right move, but he might not be a fan. Should keep him healthier, though.
  2. This just happened! For all of the nuns at St. Dennis Elementary who said I wouldn’t amount to anything—check me out
  3. I haven’t noticed his issues with the wall, but believe you guys. I just know that Cleveland had also struggled with the sun in right field in an earlier game in this series. Kind of like Tork trying to catch foul ball outs over his head—can’t seem to locate them.
  4. Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber (ironic that both are teammates, procured by DD), have been able to make a living as bat-first guys. Maybe bat-only is more apt.
  5. Oh, the horror! (I have noticed it, too, in TC).
  6. I’m not smart enough to find this, but I wonder how we rank in runs scored and differential since the All-Star break?
  7. Will likely happen with KC, too. We picked the wrong season to dominate our divisional rivals with the new schedule format.
  8. Lots of web gems in this one. Fun to see.
  9. Think we lose a home game next season. Worth it.
  10. I don’t fault him for the dropped ball—looks like he was struggling with the sun out there.
  11. Agree. Maybe another lazy narrative, but he doesn’t look like a liability out in RF. Plus, he’ll likely have a speedy CF in Meadows to help cover more ground in right center.
  12. The highs are very high and the lows are very low. Hopefully he’ll start to see better pitchers as the guys ahead of him continue to improve (and we find an established bat in he offseason to provide protection).
  13. <crickets>
  14. If the Tigers retain Eduardo, which I don’t think is far-fetched, I could see us revisiting trade talks with the Dodgers, but with Skubal instead. They’d have to have some confidence that Mize and Turnbull will be in the mix next season. A cost-controlled Skubal would have more value to a team like the Dodgers and net a bigger return. Clearly they have a strong farm and willingness to trade to fix their pitching staff, which relies on a lot of question marks. I would love to know who we were receiving in return for ERod and Jake, if he was in fact part of it.
  15. Yes—gonna be bumpy the rest of the season.
  16. What’s going on the 30-year old Tigers bat boy that looks like a cross between Greg Allman and Joe Dirt? He’s perched next to AJ like his new bench coach.
  17. Geez. Jake just got “Torked” on that call.
  18. Speaking of struggling to strike guys out…
  19. Was hoping for at least a 5-6 pitch AB from Miggy. Not three straight strikes. Let’s get Bibee out of there.
  20. For anyone who hasn’t heard https://x.com/detroittigerspr/status/1692995789985882262?s=46
  21. It’s like a little Vegas, though—incredibly popular summer destination for tourists.
  22. Not surprising, right? Was a pitcher before being drafted and considered a strong arm. I agree with the notion of playing him at 3B, until he absolutely proves he is completely incapable of it. The other option is 2B, but that spot is probably easier to solve.
