We don’t have to cut him. I’m assuming he has options left—let him spend next season in Toledo to work on things. He could always work his way back in as a DH if we invest long term in finding his replacement at 1B.

McGonigle looks legit—can’t wait to see how he does as he moves up through the system.

I think Harris wants to evaluate how our young guys play in the bigs before cutting bait on any of them and replacing via free agency. Based on a career of a sub-.700 OPS for Tork, I could see them looking at 1B this offseason. He didn’t draft him, so there isn’t the typical loyalty or optics around one of your own guys.

Wasn’t BP or one of the analytical sites bullish on Vierling’s potential? Would be nice to see him make some strides this year.

I’m OK with getting a split tomorrow. I’m assuming we won’t touch Skenes, so I’d hate to waste a Skubal start in that game.

Max says F U, Pat Caputo. It is nice to see him doing well in his first full season. I think more power will come as he matures, but he profiles to be a top of the order guy that we’ve been lacking since Kinsler.

20th seems generous—assuming the slight drop is based on the Royals massacre. Sad that we are debating either 19th or 20th slot. I miss 2006 - 2014. Probably took that era for granted.

If this kid makes the Show, no way I’m calling him Frankie. He’ll always be Franyerber to me.

Hopefully we’ll see Clark and McGonigle hitting #1 & 2 in the lineup by 2026.

Nice win—and agree that Baez would have made at least one of the plays in the 9th. But understand why he didn’t start the inning as a defensive replacement with a 6-0 lead.

Not in a rush to get Parker back, but agree he’ll deserve another shot. Would like to see Dingler come up, but not sure he’d be an upgrade over Rogers. Not on board with demoting Vierling for Vilade, who strikes me as a 4A guy and organizational depth. If we’re demoting/cutting anyone, it should be McKinstry. I suspect he’s gone as soon as one of Kreidler or Leonard proves healthy and ready.

Could be an overreaction, but the Royals series was a real kick in the teeth, especially given how bad they were last season. Someone pointed out that they could regress at some point, but until that happens it feels like they leapfrogged us.
