  1. It's sad that it's not surprising Jobe is having surgery. Losing our top pitching and perhaps player to season ending surgery really stinks. Team depth has never been more important.
  2. I think it's all of the above with perhaps a nod to development if we consider Torks and McStinky and Baez improvements attributed to that as well. I remember Harris saying "development" includes at the major league level.
  3. Detroit Tigers hinting down their prey at an impressive rate. Soild and deep roster playing with passion under good leadership. So happy we finally got here.
  4. That makes perfect sense and to clarify when I said we don’t need to sign any of them I meant any particular one not all of them. But you clarified better than I did.
  5. I’m not sure we need to sign any of those players for their expensive non controlled free agent seasons. Certainly not at over value. Harris just needs to keep the development wheels moving and pick and choose free agents as needed. Max the six years of team control and move on. Financial flexibility is more important than any one or two players. i really think it’s the Harris blueprint. And most non coastal teams will do the same.
  6. Great game by the Captain
  7. May he eat Humble Pie today.
  8. I hope Rainer has a full recovery and maintains his arm strength. Any word that will be the case ? Can he still work on something this year to not lose an entire year of training?
  9. Montero pitching like he 's mad about not opening 😀
  10. I still don't quite get openers for starters. Bullpen days ok but if you don't trust your starter in the first....
  11. Holten..the Ole grey Mare she ain't what she used to be....
  12. Severence is too slow to develop so skip it but Slow Horses is my favorite series period. But I am bit of an Anglophile and a misfit toy. Plus Gary Oldman and Kristen Scot Thomas are legit actors. Invest60 minutes on one show and you will know either way.
  13. Sweeney has become a black hole. No longer Sweeney now Sourey.
  14. I saw a channel on YouTube yesterday. Forgot the name but the guy orating was named Riley and he is a Jays fan. He speculated a trade for Bichette bringing back Jayden Hamm and Yober Sanchez our number 10 and 30 prospects. Sounds like a measured evaluation.
  15. Jung's a bust. We should have taken Neto. I'm still complaining about that one. Much worse bluer than Jobe over Mayer. But Al had Javy penciled in and made the mistake of not taking the best talent but chose for position. Harris and the good GM's don't do that.
  16. Liranzo-Rainer-Clark-McGonigle- Bricenio and Rodriguez aren't going anywhere. Neither is Bo Bichette in my estimation after signing Vlad. We don't match up anyway. Maybe our old friend Enrigue Suarez for 3B. They might consider J-Hen with first base opening next season or Wencel in combo with a low level prospect. Harris is hard for me to predict which is good, He will probably get some help with minimum loss. He seems quite measured to me . I trust him.
  17. I read somewhere his fielding at third base is still quite poor so that's probably what's holding him back at this point. If true .
  18. No hitter no hitter jinx jinx
  19. Doesn’t the core of your team need to be home grown? I understand adding missing elements but don’t you need a base to add to ?
  20. Seems like lots of talent in the minor leagues. Next years rule 5 is going to be a headache for Harris. It could force some trades of the 15 or below minor leaguers and guys like Badoo, Rogers, Perez , manning, Lange, Brebbia, Owens , Mattison, Compos,Hinklen, Malloy and even Jung. We could be buyers and sellers at the deadline.
  21. It’s an owey but also shows Harris is adept at finding players in other organizations that seem overlooked.
