Good trades and free agent signings. The Erod trade was probably a good trade that got spoiled with no fault of his own other than trust which was misplaced so a small error all the same. Didn't fill third base. For the first year I think he has made a good impression but the honeymoon is now over. Big off season ahead.

McStinky is a solid 26th man and utility player and there is value in that. Just not a starter or every day player.

I was checking stats today looking for a third baseman we could trade for and saw Issac Paredas leads all third baseman in baseball in OPS. So I won’t do that again.

Is it possible that the terrible AAA pitching is inflating the performance of our Mud Hens to make them seem better hitters than they actually are ? In other words should we temper our enthusiasm ?

Agree and I think he needs the pressure and bright lights of contention to max his talent.

My “guess” is they are planning on Baez being their shortstop for 2024. Perhaps their is a very small chance they see him at second base thinking that might unlock his bat. He hit well as a Met playing second and his Cubs best play was there also. But he isn’t going anywhere and Mike isn’t eating his salary. I think and hope for a better hitter in 2024. More XB hits even if less walks and more K.

Mckinstry is a nice bench player but he plays way too much. He's fourth on the team in AB's and that needs to change next year with better players.
