Nice pick off by Rogers despite a bad tag by Totkelson. Not sure why he just didn't tag by the bag instead of reaching for the body and allowing the hand to almost get in. The runner has to come to the bag so just get there as fast as possible.

Isn't he the type we are now supposed to fix/help ? And is Turnbull/Boras angling for a release ? It just seems fishy he has rehabbed so long and pitched so poorly.

Why does Tork back up to catch a bigger bounce from Verling instead of just leaning in and catching the short hop ? Is that a correct way to play that ? It seems it will take longer and puts Tork at risk moving into the baseline to catch the ball. That's like the third time he has done that. Did anyone see that ?

I read an article I think in the News where Santana manager was quoted as saying Santana's bad start was because he tried too hard to "control the strike zone" and forgot to swing the bat. This explains his always high OBP but really low batting average. I think the difference was like 220 points !

This one hurts, he's been on the fringes of my life for 56 years as player and broadcaster. What a career. He probably feels he never worked a day in his life. He will be and has been missed.

I'm not so sure. Parades stats this year are better than Meadows was tracking when we got him, the cost is 8 million over two years versus maybe 2 and the rays have 6 years of control versus 3.

I’m guessing very little discussion. Erod knows damn well he left Harris out to dry and Harris is probably burned at himself for trusting him and his agent. I agree with you it will play out and either way he will be gone before next season either via opt out or trade. i will be shocked he doesn’t opt out because he knows staying he knows he will end up in one of 20 locations not of his choosing. i don’t even want to watch him pitch.
