  1. I agree. I meant honeymoon with the fans. It was poorly worded post.
  2. I think Hinch is solidly in place as manager but his honeymoon time is over. When G2 mentioned "over coaching" the large gong bell was ringing loudly. But the real problem is talent. We have very little in my "fan" estimation and I am afraid we are closer to the beginning of a rebuild than the end which literally makes me want to cry. Skuball (hurt) - Greene- Baez- can be called stars or soon to be. Three. Mize-Manning-sorry average at best. Rogers-Maton-Verling-Rodrigues-Lange-Boyd look potentially to be above average MLB players. Slightly above. Meadows has lost his power. If he finds it then add him to above average player but no longer a star. Torkelson is a groundball machine and for me, my hopefully wrong opinion, is a dime a dozen first baseman that can be had most every off season for 3 to 5 million. Of all the players that seem to be over coached he is number one. In the minors we have one dude that is a potential two way star- Parker Meadows. Mallory and Keith Ala Carpenter can hit but where do they play ? Jobe-forget it. Al Avila made a huge mess and Chris Illitch trusted him foolishly. Harris is a great hire but he has mountain to climb. Going to be a while. The Tampa series showed how over matched they really are and there are many teams better than tampa.
  3. So 3 games in we are 3 games out of first...is that perfect ? And I really like Baez but no matter the $$ he won't stay around if we keep losing and if he comes to that conclusion soon he will have another poor year. Dude needs energy to perform. And Torkelson is a groundball machine..ya ya the exit velo is high generating outs. Maton is a middle infielder. Just put him at second and end Johnny's pain now. Rogers should catch every day. Pitchers seem to respond to him. Just find AB's for Haase elsewhere. On to Houston. Didn't we sweep them there last year ?
  4. As a multiple decade Tiger fan I admit my patience is worn out. I don’t like commenting negatively and I do like Scot Harris and support playing young players with potential but the clown show and blowouts have to stop. Yes only two games but they were really ugly and the tv crew is simply terrible. Alas I will be watching ..not listening…with fingers crossed. Or maybe it’s time to just listen to the radio.
  5. Carpenter to DH only please Maton to second every day. Cut Johnny. Rogers catch most days. Kriedler at third. Verling in right full time. Haase DH, C, and left field. Meadows in Left most days. McStinky etc all to bench and Miggy plays very sparingly. I don’t buy the super play everyone everywhere strategy. Put our best defense on the field until we find equal defenders who hit better. This shell game needs good players also and the defense suffers trying so hard to get matchups. Tampa does it because their players are good.
  6. Well when we’re cheering our hitters taking more pitches and high exit velocity turns to cheering walk homers and runs then we might have something.
  7. If your going to hit him mean it.
  8. Baez looks better so far after zero time of course
  9. Despite being game two first inning does anybody else know in their gut the changes that will happen and wonder why we’re waiting ?
  10. Now they pose for doubles ?
  11. Fill the gap with a planter and put low bushes and / or flowers.
  12. Give Torkelson the run on that homer. Dude can not catch pop ups in foul ground
  13. I expect a year of Churn and turnover. April to September will see a very different team as Harris continues to build better , younger depth throughout the system as he eyes 2025. Next years 26 will have a 40 % turnover from today. The rotation could have a 80 % turnover. So the roster changes will be interesting but makes it hard to win lots of games. Injuries could make it harder. Schoop won't last long, Lange-Rodriguez-Boyd-Turnbull and Haas are prime trade candidates by July deadline and Austin Meadows is a HUGH question mark. He might even retire or IL most of the year. Miggy will be part fun and part distraction. But some real positives will emerge ...Maton- Verling- Baez- Tork- Greene- will all perform. Carpenters power will maintain. The Bullpen will be much better than expected. And the returns Harris gets for the players he trades will be solid. The draft will be excellent. Parker Meadows will make the show and star and Badoo will return to stay long term. At the end of the day they will sit at 75 - 87 with a considerably brighter outlook for 2024. GO GET EM TIGERS !!
  14. The bullpen will surprise even after Lange is traded.
  15. The tide is rising. Maton and Verling a big boost. Progress.
  16. Maybe they make that move Early May but I’m with you just get it over with.
  17. Kriedler could get 250 to 300 abs at the MLB level without too much effort. Isn’t that more beneficial than 400 to 500 in AAA ?
