  1. Despite being game two first inning does anybody else know in their gut the changes that will happen and wonder why we’re waiting ?
  2. Now they pose for doubles ?
  3. Fill the gap with a planter and put low bushes and / or flowers.
  4. Give Torkelson the run on that homer. Dude can not catch pop ups in foul ground
  5. I expect a year of Churn and turnover. April to September will see a very different team as Harris continues to build better , younger depth throughout the system as he eyes 2025. Next years 26 will have a 40 % turnover from today. The rotation could have a 80 % turnover. So the roster changes will be interesting but makes it hard to win lots of games. Injuries could make it harder. Schoop won't last long, Lange-Rodriguez-Boyd-Turnbull and Haas are prime trade candidates by July deadline and Austin Meadows is a HUGH question mark. He might even retire or IL most of the year. Miggy will be part fun and part distraction. But some real positives will emerge ...Maton- Verling- Baez- Tork- Greene- will all perform. Carpenters power will maintain. The Bullpen will be much better than expected. And the returns Harris gets for the players he trades will be solid. The draft will be excellent. Parker Meadows will make the show and star and Badoo will return to stay long term. At the end of the day they will sit at 75 - 87 with a considerably brighter outlook for 2024. GO GET EM TIGERS !!
  6. The bullpen will surprise even after Lange is traded.
  7. The tide is rising. Maton and Verling a big boost. Progress.
  8. Maybe they make that move Early May but I’m with you just get it over with.
  9. Kriedler could get 250 to 300 abs at the MLB level without too much effort. Isn’t that more beneficial than 400 to 500 in AAA ?
  10. Could they be thinking Schoop or Hernandez ? Probably not considering the $ but it is a sunk cost. I still think Carpenter and Badoo both go north. Which is why I think Kreidler will also stick since he's most versatile and Verling can play first and third in a pinch. I mean how many left-handed starters are there anyways ? Plus Miggy will play very sparingly so DH is open 5 days a week. And what right handed outfielder do we have that is so important playing two days a week that presents a premium over both Badoo and Carpenter in the lineup 5 days a week ?
  11. Verling because he will for sure be on the team and we all need to know more about him.
  12. I think Carpenter and Badoo both go north. Haase Rodgers Tork Schoop Baez Maton Miggy Meadows Greene Verling Badoo Carpenter Kriedler 2 catchers 6 infielder 8 outfielder with many counting for multiple positions except Miggy the Mascot
  13. All good ideas. I think they might just adjust the time to 10- 12 seconds for the batter and 20 for the pitcher for all situations. Overall I like it but it seems just a bit rushed.
  14. Yes I also have friends and family in Taiwan who love Ohtani and of course my Japanese customers are going Banzai today. I am lucky that both he and Trout are only a short drive for me to see. Great tournament.
  15. And as of now Ohtani has passed Trout as the games best player. Not surprised Japan won given their balance of pitching-hitting- fielding. I really enjoyed that tournament and hope the Tigers can soon play meaningful games.
  16. Happily yes. Now I can turn my full concentration of worry to Austin Meadows 🙂
  17. Please please do not draft a pitcher number 3.
  18. I like the pitch clock and am glad the shifting is gone also.
  19. Is there dead weight on the 40 to add non roster players like Hernandez to the team ?
  20. Fun Question : Will Parker hit more MLB homers than Austin in 2023 ? Seems obvious but be truthful did you pause to think about it ?
  21. Carpenters power v Badoos speed. Who goes north ?
  22. Yes providing he is open to accepting it and maybe he is I have no facts either way on that.
  23. I don’t know the back story regarding Tork but reading between the quotes in the news he seems reluctant to change his swing. Not sure that means he’s hard to coach. But assuming that could be partly true and the team has a lot riding on him I would let him “sink or swim” well into June. If he is still struggling then send him down and hopefully he will be more receptive to coaching.
  24. Too long of a post for sure 🙂
