Well there is one month in the books for 2023. The Rangers-Pirates and Diamondbacks are all in first place. There are six teams worse than the Tigers so thats kinda progress. Jake Rodgers leads the team in OPS and War. Hopefully we have the catcher position filled which would be great. McKinstry and Verling look like players. Rodriguez and Lange look solid. Harris will probably trade both in July. Our "core 5" of Tork-Green-Mize-Skubal-Manning are either injured or not performing. Tork with a .575 OPS and a -0.3 War "leading" the way. Is it still too early to call "BUST" ? I hope not but count me concerned. Miggy has a sub .500 OPS and..well..nevermind. May takes us out of the tough schedule to hopefully better things until Harris burns it down to the studs in July. GO TIGERS ?

Miggy is almost an automatic out and sometimes two with double plays. Even good teams would have trouble with that. Someone need to have a tough conversation or his pride needs to come to the realization he is embarrassing himself. Schoop needs to go. Now. Sadly I don’t think Meadows in coming back. we are stuck playing the kids and hoping some turn to consistent major league players so quit wasting time with veterans who can’t play and stop the position musical chairs so the newbies can settle in and improve their defense one multi position player should be enough to fill in when needed.

We have to wait until year end to evaluate Greene and Tork. I think they are major league players and hopefully stars. For me I would buy more Greene stock than Torkelson but it’s early for them but late for the Franchise which is a problem for us.
