    Has Verling's offense gone down since he started playing third and outfield ? I still think he is a great right fielder and should just play there and call that position done for 2024. Just find a third baseman or give it to Keith.

    Kerry Carpenter Home run which makes him even for the day after missing a catch in right field. If he is the DH then its plus one for Detroit.

    Kerry Carpenter CAN NOT play the outfield. He can't catch balls over his head. Beautiful hitter but his power is wasted if he keeps giving it back on the field.

    It does seem we need someone really good to get someone really good back. With starters only going five to six innings now position players value should be even higher in comparison.

    Another bad tag. Need to let the ball travel to you and tag at the base. Ibanez reached toward the ball and then brought it back. Wasted time.

    I think they can stop playing Ibanez and see what Maton can do everyday at second.

    Nice pick off by Rogers despite a bad tag by Totkelson. Not sure why he just didn't tag by the bag instead of reaching for the body and allowing the hand to almost get in. The runner has to come to the bag so just get there as fast as possible.

    Isn't he the type we are now supposed to fix/help ? And is Turnbull/Boras angling for a release ? It just seems fishy he has rehabbed so long and pitched so poorly.

    Why does Tork back up to catch a bigger bounce from Verling instead of just leaning in and catching the short hop ? Is that a correct way to play that ? It seems it will take longer and puts Tork at risk moving into the baseline to catch the ball. That's like the third time he has done that. Did anyone see that ?

    I read an article I think in the News where Santana manager was quoted as saying Santana's bad start was because he tried too hard to "control the strike zone" and forgot to swing the bat. This explains his always high OBP but really low batting average. I think the difference was like 220 points !

    Just saw him on TV and I thought he was Baez at first glance. So I guess that's why he got the call ??

    Perhaps he’s the father of said girl’s child and both were younger at the time but still underage ? Could be a martial issue, wife just found out, that has him on the restricted list and not the age thing ? Or both ? Who knows. Best way to solve it is trade him to Detroit for nothing.

    is it possible we might have enough offense on the team for 2024 if players keep improving and Keith comes up and its our starting pitching we need to be worried about ?

    Happy for Lorenzen and his success should only help Detroit sign free agents. It's a win for Harris who needs a monster off season because we are all tired of being happy for others. Time to be happy for US !!

    This one hurts, he's been on the fringes of my life for 56 years as player and broadcaster. What a career. He probably feels he never worked a day in his life. He will be and has been missed.
