The Tigers off season was solid and properly measured for where they are as a franchise. Flattery, Maeda, Miller, Canna , Chafin and Urshela filled holes and provided much needed depth. Committing to Keith at second and moving Jung to third was solid as well. 2024 is the year we find out once and for all what type of players we have in Greene, Torkelson, Mize, Skubal and Carpenter. How they do will go a long way in deciding our 2024 off season shopping when real $$$ could be expensed. Do we have a middle of the order or not and is our pitching "set" as much as pitching ever is stable. They have to be our best five players and do really well if we are going to win the Central.

Repeat after me Clark + Monigal + Wilson > Langford. Hopefully.

Manning down is surprise for me as well as starting Olsens "clock" but he might be the best of the three and if we are revisiting Al Avila then credit where it's due for the trade if not the development.

The Giants cam to Boras rescue for both Snell and Chapman. Greedy lost this year.Snell probably could have had a 5 or 6 year 150, not 200, but he wouldn't have to worry about injury not that you can't live on 30 million after taxes.

Mize îs clearly my # 6 but thankfully I do not make the decisions ! But I agree sending down a 1-1 who has waited 2 years to return from injury and had an arbitration"misunderstanding" takes big cahones that H&H might not have. Big decisions with Wentz (out of options) and Drew Anderson ( opt out clause for Asia if sent down) also coming due. Anderson has been excellent with a 15K/9 spring. Is Will Vest Toledo bound ? Faedo looks real sharp as well. We have 16 pitchers for 13 spots. Team is improving. On the hitters side Leonard, Kreidler and Ibanez play could make Urshela redundant. Especially with Jung charging from the rear. Progress. I bet Scotty's phone is buzzing loudly these days. Maybe a trade is coming and if so what do we need most added to the team ?
