Greene Lf Meadows CF Verling RF Forget about Badoo and Carpenter etc.... just do it Hinch/Harris and help your pitchers. It's a great Championship caliber defensive alignment. Just play them and watch them get better and better with repetition and playing as a unit.

Yes I do tend to be a tough evaluater but doesn’t a pitcher have to have more than one year with 30 starts to be counted on as a top of the rotation starter ?

For the record I am ok with Baez , Meadows looks hopeful, Rogers seems ok but in reality we are still very woeful at the key up the middle positions of C-SS-CF- 2B compared with the league and until we fix that going after a weak Central, which might not be so weak next year, is our only goal. Plus we only have a # 3 starter at best in Skubal if his arm holds up.

Agree but you can still trade Torkelson and be better for next year if the return are also young major league ready players. Selling high is dangerous but can work.

This is the lineup I was expecting to accommodate seeing Meadows in center and building Badoo's trade value who hopefully we can turn into a third baseman so we can move Verling back to RF and Riley to left IF Meadows works out. The current lineup is arm deficient and still only so so in left but Meadows can shade that way to compensate for Badoo's weakness tracking balls in the gap and facilitate his strength going to the line.

Cleveland is a good landing spot for Eric. Hope he does well.

My "guess' is Ibanez who I don't think is in the future plans at all. Maton came in trade so Harris probably will defer to him even though he probably should be the one being demoted based on 2023 performance. Meadows will play center and Badoo needs to keep playing left since he is doing better so Riley will see some RF I guess even though it's his third best outfield spot just to accommodate Badoo and Meadows. I bet they rest Riley quite a bit also. Verling will play third mostly.Carpenter and Miggy at DH.
