  1. purdy benefits from having the best set of skill players in the league, a great left tackle, and an amazing play caller. that's for sure. talent wise he's average, if that. regardless, he's having a stellar season.
  2. i am definitely traumatized by past lions teams. i think the lions offense is good if they can protect goff. i think the lions defense is below average because they cant rush the passer and their corners are very suspect. if they protect the ball, they can hang with a lot of teams. i think it would take a lot of turnovers and luck for the lions to beat the niners or ravens. i think they can hang with most other teams even if i do not think theyre not an elite team, but rather among the top of the "next tier" of teams. that's pretty much been my opinion all year long. i thought they were a 9-11 win team so theyve already exceeded my expectations.
  3. you talking about me? if you think that, that's because you dont read my posts. understandable, but still slander. 🙂
  4. brock purdy leads the league in passer rating, qbr, yards per completion, yards per attempt, net yards gained per pass attempt, adjusted net yards per pass attempt, and td %. he's having a bad game against one of the best defenses in football, but he's still an mvp candidate.
  5. i hope both these teams are knocked out before the lions have to play them because they would both murder detroit.
  6. if the other team throws four interceptions, you should dominate them. thank you nick mullen.
  7. dumbest clickbait i saw this week was a "report" out of LSU that brian kelly would definitely leave LSU for the michigan job. yeah.....ok jan.
  8. winning now will spoil this whole season. it will go from newsworthy to just another ****ty team. which - knowing this worthless franchise - means they'll win. what i really cant wait for is the team dropping to 5th in the lottery this year AND next year.
  9. i dont put any stock in pff grades. (unless they help my side of an argument)
  10. i think they can sign him back to the roster off another team's practice squad if they want.
  11. they were up against the cap.
  12. michigan football was pretty good in the 1970s...
  13. since acquiring james wiseman the pistons are 5-50. which begs the question: how the hell did they win five?
  14. i'd really like them to win this game. but even more important is that they come out of it healthy.
  15. josh reynolds? you can find josh reynolds on the waiver wire. donovan peoples jones could easily be his replacement. reynolds is a fine backup receiver who is valuable because he's an ok player and he's cheap. as soon as he becomes "not cheap" he will be out of a job and replaced by an equivalent. ragnow will be a bigger call because he's seemingly got a recurring injury. decker because he's getting old.
  16. the broadcast companies are already making these plans. the schools will go along with whatever they want, just like the big ten did. if you think kevin warren was the mastermind behind usc to the big ten, youre crazy. if you think tony pettiti made the decision to get oregon and washington and not his tv overlords, youre smoking something.
  17. are you in the big ten or sec? no? are you notre dame? no? you're out of luck. the sec wont need to "legitimize" anything. just like they dont now. the only thing that potentially scuttles it - but probably wont - is government intervention. some of the "left behinds" have powerful politicians in their states who may put up some roadblocks for state run institutions to break away and leave them. that's how baylor got into the big 12, iirc. that being said, it didnt do them any good when oklahoma and texas moved to the sec and cal got left behind by the big ten. so probably not.
  18. decker is in his 8th season. i dont know how much longer he has left at a high level of play. one or two years?
  19. because its still michigan versus ohio state. theyre not going to change the brand name. college football is already a mercenary game and the ratings are still very high. higher than anything other than the nfl. michigan-osu drew 17 million viewers. college football dominates the south, southwest, and midwest in the fall. its not going away because conferences change. if anything, the game will get better because you'll have better matchups on a weekly basis. less indiana-purdue and more michigan-washington. i hate to break it to you boomer, but your generation is not "keeping college football alive" college football will survive even if people now realize it was a fraud for a hundred years before the players got paid OVER the table. 🙂
  20. 4-50 since last year's trade deadline.
  21. listening to another pistons pod today with them talking about how the pistons cut off access if you dont say nice things about them. which makes sense considering the tone of the beat reporters. langlois i understand because he works for the team. he's not going to badmouth them. jeiii is weaver's mouthpiece and must be getting info from him. the news and freep guys have actually been forced to be more critical the past week after a year of excuses.
  22. you can get a quality center outside round 1. ragnow in round 1 is the exception, not the rule. left tackles you get in round 1. pass rushers, quarterbacks, left tackles, and (now) corner backs go in round 1.
