  1. reid would start on the pistons. stew would be a bench player on the wolves. like you said, its sort of an insignificant difference.
  2. he would have been fine with 1-11 as long as there was no scandal. he's a god at northwestern. if anything, he would have been moved up the ladder to some sort of admin position. but he pissed off a player who went public with allegations that mobilized the moral outrage merchants in the chicago media so he had to go. brian kelly kills a kid at notre dame and the chicago media barely blinks. fitzgerald's team did naked pull ups and some kid cries about it and the media goes nuts. must be baseball season. slow news time.
  3. naz reid got 3 and 42. stew seems like an overpay.
  4. the wings should sign patrick kane and trade draft picks and prospects for erik karlson so we can be the 8th seed next year. they need to placate the fans who are SO TIRED of not having a team make the playoffs. pistons did that when they dealt for blake griffin and got the 8th seed and swept in round one. but hey, at least they MADE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!! cause that's what's important to mcs.
  5. yeah! that will show em!
  6. ortiz being revered by the press and the others being cast out as pariahs is the biggest effing joke. ortiz is the POSTER CHILD for peds, was caught red handed, and because he's the jolly ****ing fat man from boston he gets off scot free. total bull****.
  7. husso wore down last year. they cant go into another season where he plays that many games.
  8. theyre going to need big steps up from raymond, seider and edvinsson to be a playoff team. the atlantic division is TOUGH. i expect them to be in the hunt. i expect them to be better than last year. i do not expect them to make it. i give them a 30-40% chance to make it.
  9. bookmark this page. cant wait to hear you talk about wickets and bowlers.
  10. shows how many great hitters the tigers have had in their history.
  11. seeing duren shoot from the elbow reminded me of antonio mcdyess. similar body too.
  12. lol, oh randy. we'll get the #1 pick next year because there are no top players available. is this your first draft rodeo? lol.
  13. frank made a lot of money.
  14. or he can do penance 2023 and do some "therapy" and go on his "personal journey" to understand how his actions injured people. issue a statement about how he has a lot to learn and he takes that seriously, yadda yadda yadda. that worked for ferentz at iowa.
  15. even if he didnt know, its his job to know. he's in charge of the program. that said, there are conflicting reports about whether this happened and the extent it did, with current players now saying the "whistleblower" told them he was just doing it to get fitzgerald fired, and that everything he's said has been overblown. i have no doubt that everything is overblown and taken out of context because its a media report. however, its probably still enough to get fitzgerald fired.
  16. philly still has harden on their team, so if round one goes 7 games there is a great chance they dont have to guarantee Reed's deal.
  17. rasmussen or perron will be on lines one aand two respectively. debrincat and raymond are too small to play together 5 v 5.
  18. wiseman and duren cant play together. it clogs up the court too much. when duren was in the game, ivey looked much better. it doesnt help that they dont have a point guard to get him the ball. speaking of which, ausar is their best point player on this roster. he passes really well. but that said, ausar is not a 3 and d player yet because he cannot shoot. yet. hopefully he gets better as he gets older. he's a good enough athlete to figure it out. his ceiling? scottie pippen. his floor? great defensive player who cant shoot (which are available all over the place.) watching wiseman play still makes me mad. he's such a black hole on offense. he played well when he had a guy on him who couldnt play, but he almost never passes and just sits on the lane clogging it up for everyone. its 2023 troy, not 1987.
  19. 4 years at less than $8m per makes it a great deal for detroit.
  20. enough to make them a playoff team? probably not unless there is some big time growth from their prospects this year. but theyre getting better.
  21. i actually think that's a fair trade for both teams.
  22. if the boston pick doesnt convey next year (because its top ten protected), the wings get to choose whether to send their own pick in 2024 or boston's in 2025.
  23. sebrango, a 4th rounder, and either boston's first or our first, whichever is lower.
  24. well....that was embarassing.
  25. good: duren had a good game shooting wise. bad: jaden ivey was god awful. its hard to say anything about ausar because its summer league and the guard play is so bad. ivey was playing hero ball for most of the time he was in the game (and playing it badly) so ausar didnt have much to do but watch. he made a really nice pass on the break. you can tell why they think he has "basketball sense" and compete. cant say anything about his shot because we didnt get to see it thanks for ivey ball hogging. this will sound terrible but he looked like a more athletic killian sometimes. sasser made some threes. so did buddy. wiseman is the #2 pick in the draft, 2 years older than most of these guys, and playing against guys 7 inches shorter than him. you'd expect him to dominate. he was ok, but did not dominate. anthony black looked good for orlando. its a summer league game so you cant really tell anything. but what's the purpose of summer league if we cant make ridiculous assumptions based on glorified pick up games?
