the prize is for the big ten is notre dame. miami and fsu gets you into florida, one of the biggest markets in the country. i'm really not sure that miami brings you anything other than one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. they dont care about college football and dont really have fans. it would rutgers...only decent at football every five years or so. fsu would immediately make nebraska feel better academically, but is a complete mismatch for the big ten. miami too. but that doesnt matter. what matters is getting into florida's market.

va tech has zero pull. theyre a nonentity. they add no markets and would just be a suck on funds. they will be in the leftover division along with the remains of the acc/big 12/and pac 12.

if youre virginia, you dont care about short term results. what you care about is being in one of the two conferences and not getting left out like washington and oregon.

realignment is coming again! acc is imploding with the football schools ready to bolt. this, however, makes no sense to me: "The latest talk suggests FSU, Miami, and Notre Dame to the Big Ten; and Clemson, Virginia, UNC, and Duke to the SEC." notre dame to the big ten is a no brainer, but unc, duke, and virginia to the jv academic league? miami and fsu to the big boy academic conference? hmmmm....i dont know. notre dame, unc, duke, and virginia to the big ten and fsu, clemson, and miami to the sec makes more academic sense. not that academic sense carries the day...but still...

i like how you cant write out gradey's last name. i want them to take victor and then go for the best 3 and d wing they can find if they dont get #1. how does scoot fit on the pistons? a point guard with handle who isnt a great shooter? do we think he becomes chris paul? what could they reasonably deal #2 for? does philly decide to rebuild if harden leaves? do you go for embiid and see if they bite?
