you must be young. sparky anderson said ten things more ridiculous every spring training. lest we forget chris pittaro, the greatest second baseman who ever lived. -
he set off some fireworks like many americans do. i dont think that means he's stupid, it just means he likes fireworks. he's young and rich, he's gonna do a lot of the things young men do. that said, his agent should probably have a conversation with him about risk.

one of JEIII's podcasts said sasser is definitely not 6 feet tall. maybe 5'11 on a good day.
-
report that the wings will terminate zadina's contract and he won't contest it. he wants out so badly he's willing to walk away from the $4 million left on the deal.
-
barring big injuries like last year they'll be in the 10-14 range, imo.

they're overachieving in my book. they dont have much talent on the team to begin with, their best player is hurt, and all their pitchers have been hurt. the fact that theyre not the a's or royals is overachieving to me. -

i cant imagine being this angry about a rebuilding tigers team. dude, this team is overachieving right now. -
steve yzerman 2023: "you try and trade him."

i think zadina plays very hard, and he improved a lot on defense (starting from zero). but he's small, not particularly fast, and cant shoot the puck anywhere but at the goalie. his biggest weakness was supposed to be his biggest strength: shooting. ras wasnt injured when he was stuck in the minors because he sucked. and he sucked again when he made it up. now he looks like he could be a valuable third liner or maybe even a second line player if he can get into the corners. but you talk about ras's injuries but not zadina's? the guy has been hurt most of his career.
-
i dont even know what that means. the pick was obviously a mistake. but ken holland made it, what did we expect? did you think the rasmussen bridge contract was bad at the time? he was just as bad as zadina during his first few years too.
-
that's a small, and fair, bridge contract for the former #6 pick in the draft. and everyone said so at the time.
-
zadina was the #6 pick in the draft. signing him to a small bridge contract was the right thing to do.

brandon miller looks selfish on offense and lazy on defense. dude is already in full nba regular season form.

no offense, but you DID want to mortgage the farm and future for one guy. you wanted to trade 9, 17, AND PLAYERS AND FUTURE PICKS for debrincat. last year you wanted to trade multiple first round picks to trade up for shane wright. you have advocated mortgaging the future for a couple years now for every shiny new toy that becomes available. ottawa did that last year and how did it work out? tater, you of all people, the man who was advocating for kenny holland's public defenstration for years should know the horrible state of the team when yzerman got here. one of the worst teams of all team, horrible farm system, almost no tradeable assets, full of terrible contracts. this was not seattle. not vegas. this was the bottom of the bottom. the "BUY ALL THE FREE AGENTS" crowd wants us to be vancouver. i dont.
-
nylander is 27 and has a 10 team no trade list that we might be on. bigger than debrincat and brings something we dont have: some size (not huge but bigger than debrincat) AND skill.
-
yzerman is paid to look out for the organization as a whole and put them on the course to be an annual contender, not sell out the farm for one chase of an 8th seed because you're impatient.
-
couldnt even get rid of him for a late round pick.
-
zadina on waivers.

so toronto signs bert, klingberg, and domi. totally stacked offensively. but they still dont play any defense and arguably just got worse in that department. not sure this solves their problem even if it does make them a better offensive play off team (if bert stays healthy).
-
portland is so stupid. should have traded him years ago.
-
great deal for toronto.
-
the mets spent all that money just so they could be 1/2 game in front of detroit. lol.
-
houston spending like a drunken sailor just to lose a play in game.
-
welp.
