  1. parity.
  2. but how is giving someone a leased vehicle a violation? let alone evidence of not complying with ncaa rules? you can do almost anything you want now. failure to prevent them from racing may open up the university to legal liability in civil court, but im not sure its a violation of ncaa rules.
  3. how can there be a lack of institutional control when there is nil? they are paying the players and its legal. what would be the "lack" of control exhibited by leasing some employee a car? they'll settle the lawsuit before they get too deep into discovery.
  4. he has a player option? or is it a mutual option?

  9. your leafs lost and you're banned from the forum. i hope it was worth it.
  10. with some luck they could win 13, just like the vikes last year. with some bad luck they could be 8-9. /debbiedowner.
  11. i'll have what MC is having. 🙂
  12. staying healthy is a prerequisite for any team to be successful, not just the lions. i would also add that i'm still concerned about goff's limitations and the other team's ability to exploit them (see the pats and cowboys games last year). a really good running game should help there, but expecting him to go 17-0 td/int ratio like he did in the second half of the season is unrealistic. other concerns would be a lack of a proven deep threat at receiver. i know everyone loves the potential of jaymo, but he hasnt done anything yet. the league hasnt had a chance to see what he cant do (other than follow the league's gambling rules). they're a team without star players on defense and still have a hole at run stuffing DT, imo. with that said, EVERY team has holes. the lions are well positioned to win a division that appears weak on paper. 10 wins should be the only acceptable outcome barring injuries. 11-12 is possible too. heck, the viqueens won 13 games last year and they sucked.
  13. Detroit Lions Over/under: 9.5 Mike Clay's projection: 8 Prediction: Under 9.5 wins. I know people are excited about the trajectory of this team, and it is justified. The Lions have a lot of young talent on this team; however, they are still the Lions -- a franchise that has little experience or success realizing its potential over the years. Should they really be the division favorites? I'm not so sure. Their draft process was flawed. WR Jameson Williams is suspended the first six games of the season. I will not be betting into the narrative that this team is the best in the division. -- Fulghum

  19. spo is not an old man. i wonder if there is some succession plan whereby he moves up to the front office at some point? if not, quinn would probably be wise to cash in.
