penix and washington is a much different animal than Bama. washington can exploit michigan's "flaw" on defense much moreso than the tide could. penix is going to be a huge issue. i expect michigan to throw a lot of trick coverages at him like they did with osu and harrison. oduze is a burner. its a tough matchup. if michigan wins, they win up front. that said, i was impressed with how michigan's dline played and very unimpressed with how texas went away from trying to outphysical washington.

wheeler with an article on ASP today. he's giving off erik karlsson vibes. "Only one other under-19 defenseman has a single point in the SHL this season. The only other 18-year-old defenseman who is a regular on an SHL club is Sharks prospect Axel Landen, who is pointless on the season. Meanwhile, Sandin Pellikka’s nine goals are two back of the SHL record for an under-19 defenseman — and he’ll have 21 games left in his season to score them when he returns from the world juniors. Victor Hedman’s points record for an under-19 defenseman of 21 is within reach, too." he's a returning player to the u-19s, and is an assistant captain. the only 18 year old to do that. and he's leading the team in ice time. he could be a major find. between him and augustine, the wings have two young players excelling at the juniors.

penix and the receivers were really impressive against texas. the rest of the team? not so much. i didnt understand texas' offense. just run the ball. it was like they tried to get really cute and impressive when all they really needed to do was smash them. and they got really unlucky with turnovers. if michigan plays sound, they should be ok. if they get tcu jj, they will lose. penix will be a load. and their receivers against michigan's non-will johnson corners will be a mismatch.

atlanta is the team to watch.

this is what happens when cade has on off night. i mean, it happens all the time when he has an ON night, but if he's off theyre going to get absolutely slaughtered. and why is wiseman playing so much? once again leading the team with a -24 when he's on the court.

lol. what a **** team.

i suspect they'll win more games simply by luck of the draw. nights where the shots fall for them and not the other team, and the other team simply taking "the night off" as nba teams are wont to do in a long, grinding season. now that the raptors gave raptored and lost the unloseable game, the pressure is off the pistons' opponents not to be "that team". with that, this team still sucks and still cant shoot, so they'll continue to be bad but just not historically bad. they might even win a couple in a row. its hard to lose that many nba games in a row if youre not trying to. that's why this run was so miraculously bad, they were trying to win! this was not the process sixers. which is why the front office should all be dismissed...

3-79 is still on the table.

the pistons are completely uninteresting now. before there was a story, now there is just ambivalence and failure. -
andrew luck was pretty darn good.

Week Eighteen: Minnesota Vikings (7-9) @ Detroit Lions (11-5)

rivalry game on the road. cowboys should be favored for sure, but its the nfl. i would give washington a decent shot. -
fields has been one of the worst qbs in the league in the 4th quarter of close games. the bears keeping fields and paying him $40+ million would be great if youre a vikings, packers, and lions fan. the bears should take williams and get harbaugh to coach him. if they got harbaugh to coach fields, they'd probably do well too (see kapernick, colin).

the cowboys and eagles losing would not surprise me. -
there is no college football equivalent in hockey. and no one is watching minor league hockey on tv. 10 million just watched georgia win a game by 60 points. the nhl wont get 10 million people to watch the stanley cup finals.

so you want guys like sorsdal and martin to play/practice for an entire season and then play ANOTHER season right after? and then come back and play again in the late summer/fall? football is a tough game, i'm not sure people can take that much wear and tear and be successful for a long time. maybe qbs and wrs, but probably not guys getting hit on every play like linemen. this aint baseball.
-
they keep trying to make a third league happen. it aint happening. not as long as college football exists.
-
unfortunately that was always going to happen. the bears are coming next year. that trade will set them up for a decade. if the bears were a smart organization, they'd trade fields to a stupid, desperate team like atlanta, take williams #1, and hire jim harbaugh. since theyre the bears, i expect eberflus to be back next year.

this might be your worst post ever. -
any qb can throw on the lions. i'm worried about whatever team the lions play. all i said was the rams looked pretty ****ty. they did they should have lost. eagles look crappy too.
