  1. matt patricia: successful assistant on multiple super bowls. im sure its a great hire as a defensive assistant just like john fox. lol.
  2. john fox was a disaster in chicago and couldnt wait to get out of town. everyone assumed he was retiring since he didnt do anything when he was here. not sure if we owed him a favor or something. he should retire.
  3. steve is still waiting to talk to his brother in law about china...
  4. ah, i see you speak "draftspeak" too! lol.
  5. i love how the warriors are "livid" about draymond's suspension. he's a clown who stomped on a guy! he's lucky he only got one game!
  6. there's plenty of research that shows drafting according to the public draft boards is the most successful thing to do. carter and anderson are at the top of everybody's lists for a reason.
  7. i'd be stunned if carter makes it past seattle if all 4 qbs are off the board by then. i could also see seattle take a qb to sit behind geno for a year or two.
  8. carter and anderson are the consensus best players in the draft. go get one. if one falls to them because some gm loves wilson's length, all the better. same thing happened with hutch last year and that has worked out so far.
  9. towns in the 4th quarter, 0-4 with a turnover. is it good to have more turnovers than made baskets? jimmy butler was right.
  10. i cannot guarantee we would have been better with herbert or that he would have developed the same way. thats correct.
  11. how about if they drafted herbert? i think they'd be ok.
  12. they have the best left tackle in football on that team. and a right tackle who just got massivley paid as a free agent. the eagles d line is pretty good too.
  13. you cant guarantee that. the one thing we do know is that they ran out of qbs in that game. to me, that's why they lost. they have great players at all the positions you mentioned. except one. quarterback. hell, that team was ao good they made the championship game with brock flipping purdy. and we're not likely ever to know if trey lance was a good pick until he gets healthy enough to play back to back GAMES, much less back to back seasons.
  14. taking a tackle wasnt the difference between the niners winning and losing that game to the eagles. the difference was quarterback.
  15. okudah is the perfect example.
  16. the choice isnt "draft for help now" or "draft a qb." the choice is between drafting the player you think will help your team the most and become the best player or drafting a player who plays a position we think needs help now. if you draft a cb because you need a cb now rather than drafting an wide receiver or a defensive end you think will be a demon in two years but will take time to bed in now, youve made a mistake.
  17. why? stroud isnt ready to start now most likely. fyi, newest pff mock, lol:
  18. would you give goff the contract jalen hurts just got?
  19. that's not the best way to draft, imo. you need to think about the future and build a solid base of talent. im not advocating drafting a qb, but "we need someone to contribute right now" is not the way to draft. especially not that high. of the players you mentioned, all of them will have growing pains. tyree wilson? very unrefined player. anderson is small. first year corners almost always suck (gardner is a massive exception). honestly, if you really wanted a plug and play guy, take bijan. but again, with the long term in mind that's not a good decision to draft an rb that high.
  20. if they draft a qb at 6, it will be because they see him as goff's replacement in two years, not because they need a backup this year. you shoot for the moon with the #6 pick.
  21. brugler on stroud: : A two-year starter at Ohio State, Stroud was a record-setting passer for the Buckeyes in head coach Ryan Day’s multiple spread offense. While leading the FBS in touchdown passes (41) in 2022, Stroud broke Drew Brees’ Big Ten record for the most touchdowns in a two-year span and finished with 17 Ohio State records (second in school history with 8,123 career passing yards). Structurally sound, Stroud throws with patience and poise and he can make all the throws. Though he appears comfortable on plays designed to move his launch point, his improvisation skills when things break down are a work in progress (his outstanding performance on the 2022 Georgia tape raises the level of optimism). Overall, Stroud must become more comfortable embracing his athleticism and escapability, but he is an outstanding rhythm passer with touch, pacing and ball-speed control to carve up the defense. His passing skills give him an encouraging floor as an NFL starter and his development as a creator will ultimately determine his NFL ceiling. GRADE: 1st Round (No. 4 overall)
  22. if the lions see what you do, they should take him. if he's like previous osu qbs, or he's justin fields without the otherwordly athleticism, they shouldnt. its hard to tell with osu qbs because theyre all throwing to the best wide receivers in college football. as for the michigan game, i think stroud was fine, and the one time michigan had single coverage on marvin harrison, stroud put an absolute dime to him that got them a big touchdown.
  23. dan campbell? he was the head coach when lynn was here too. and they (and goff) sucked.
  24. as equally important as potentially upgrading on goff is how theyre going to replace ben johnson.
  25. i think jsn is the first receiver picked. the thing i worry about with him is health.
