i think their defense is in for a rude awakening against a motivated ohio state team playing at home. no more hutch/ojabo wrecking osu tackles like last year. and lets remember, osu scored a lot of points and moved the ball fairly well on michigan. and this year they get osu refs. otoh, michigan's running game is better than last year. i am worried about right tackle. osu has two five star dynamic first round pick defensive ends. passing downs will be a big problem for michigan. hopefully they dont have too many of those.

you saw in the nebraska game how they missed their tight ends. schoonmaker over the middle has been a real go-to pass for them this year. the receivers didnt have a lot of separation against nebraska. it doesnt matter in the end because its nebraska, but it might matter againat another team in red.

suter was a healthy scratch to start the season before bert got hurt so its not inconceivable it happens again. i agree he's kind of worthless. let berggren play!

pff grades are kind of garbage, especially in college. when michigan can outgain michigan state on the ground by 200+ yards buy msu's oline gets better grades....something is amiss.

what i remember about dave cameron was how big of an ass hole he was. but that was 20 years ago (ish). him and craig calcaterra. arrogant know it all pricks. i know calcaterra hasnt changed (in fact, its become his brand), but not sure about cameron. hopefully he's a nicer guy now.

hutch v thibs. this is (another) big game for the lions. the giants have a great record but we all think they've been a bit lucky and have had an easier schedule. a lion win here - on the road - would be a big sign that they might actually be turning a very small corner. that said, saquon probably goes off and the lions will lose by two tuddies because, well, theyre the lions.

he's a very good slot receiver. like you said, he'll be a quality component next to an outside speed demon like jaymo is supposed to be and a tall guy who can go up and get it.

i'm wary of anyone with big accuracy issues in college. in the end, all of the qb prospects are flawed in some way. the lions are going to have to pick one of them and live with the results. i really wanted bryce young but i dont think they'll get him barring a late season collapse (always possible with this team and they are probably one jarad goff injury away from that). if they cant get young then any of the next level qbs will be fine with me. i just hope they can snag one a little later in the draft and use their top picks on much needed defensive help. dt and cb in particular.

the 1979 draft sucked after magic went #1. kelser being picked one selection before moncrief does hurt though. third best player in that draft? late 3rd round pick bill laimbeer.
