  1. i feel like this is the team they would have been most of the season if fabbri, bert and vrana were healthy. also, they have made this run without raymond. not sure if there is any significance to that.
  2. so would you rather have the wings miss the playoffs or make the playoffs but lose to the leafs?
  3. fool's gold. that guy will never amount to anything. - buddha 1960
  4. motownforums drinking game: take a shot every time chas writes "papa doc" or "baby doc."
  5. rangers, tampa, back to back AT ottawa (never seen that before) and then seattle at home. they should have a pretty good idea of where they stand at that point. this last part of the schedule is tough.
  6. 2 points out with FOUR games in hand.
  7. anthony mantha injured and out for the rest of the game????? no way. i like the stat that vrana has scored as many goals as mantha since the trade....in 65 less games.
  8. once again, bertuzzi is in the mix. gets the puck on thw boards down low, finds hagg up top and he scores thanks to a great screen from perron. bert is back to being the straw that stirs the drink for this team.
  9. whither rodney magruder?
  10. mr yzerman is in the building for tonight's game.
  11. the storyline will be the chiefs. it doesnt really matter who they are playing. the st brown thing does add an extra wrinkle that they can play with, putting him on local tv and such.
  12. the storyline will be the chiefs and st brown speaking german. the lions will not be a storyline. the lions need to actually win something and be good for a while for foreigners who dont religiously follow the nfl to know who they are. there will likely be more tom brady jerseys there than lions jerseys.
  13. i think watson is going to be really good next year.
  14. patbev signing with the bulls is perfect symmetry. the player i hate the most signing for the team i like the least. the only thing better was if the bulls signed westbrook and brought in steve kerr to coach.
  15. as you say, i dont think they traded hock because they didnt like him or tight ends that can stretch the field, its that they didnt want to pay him after this season and he was valuable enough to get something back in trade. also, st brown's emergence sort of made hock expendable. they both operate in the same spaces. theyre also both going to have to get paid. so they traded one of them.
  16. there's an argument that russ is the least valuable player in the league if you consider how much he dominates the ball.
  17. he looks ready for a more ambassadorial role. like the ambassador to burger king.
  18. leddy had a track record and has talent. same with bertuzzi. if they want to deal bert they'll be able to get something good for him.
  19. miguel does....uh.....not look like he's in the "best shape of his life."
  20. why would another team trade for our deadwood?
  21. no one person is going to have that deep of a knowledge of the thousands of players in the minor leagues of baseball based on five or ten minutes of watching them play and a look at their box score stats. that's all keith law is. hey, its fun. i like to read about it, but im not going to get bent out of shape about it. one thing is for sure: the prior tigers regime was terrible at identifying and developing talent. as long as they were in charge the tigers were going nowhere. now we have a new regime and we have hope again.
  22. williams is a bruising physical back. sanders is not. they are not like for like. sanders would be a swift replacement, not a williams replacement.
  23. fyi, carter has some character red flags too...
