that's a bit premature, imo. they still have one of the worst defenses in the league. but they have a lot of young players, many of whom got better in the second half. hopefully it continues.

that was my thinking. bears trade down with indy thinking they can still get carter there. so if you want him, you'll have to trade up to 3 to jump the bears. bears would then take anderson. problem for the bears is that houston may not take a qb. they may take anderson or carter. indy may want to stay put too. if the bears want to trade down they may have to go to 7 or 9, which would put them too low for carter/anderson. so they may end up picking one of them at one.

imagine if bert, fabbri, and vrana were healthy and sober all year? also imagine if we played in the west. alas...

i bet its higher than his production this year would warrant. he has a long track record of playing that way, in a way that should bode well for the playoffs. at least that's what ive heard repeatedly. im not as sure. yes, if he stays disciplined on offense and crashes the net it will be helpful. for sure. but weve seen so many times bertuzzi being undisciplined and turning the puck over. cant have that in the playoffs.

i take those things with a grain of salt. shanahan's offense with a running qb will be hard to stop. its already hard to stop.
