i forgot westbrook was on the kings. westbrook, derozan, and lavine all on the same team! the other two guys on the floor with them must be so bored on offense! westbrook with 20+ and a triple double in a kings loss by double digits to one of the worst teams in the league is SO perfect. i'm sure russ had a press conference to remind everyone of his triple double...

do it like they do in hockey. very open and transparent with what teams need to get in. the formula is known before the season starts and teams know what they need to do.

alabama also had better wins than notre dame. if notre dame wants to make it to the playoff with a 2 loss record, they can join a real conference. i dont have sympathy for notre dame and their attitude. that said, i think each of the teams involved - alabama, notre dame, miami, and byu - all had a case. what is odd and what gives notre dame a bit of a legit grievance is they were ranked higher than miami and then got jumped for no apparent reason. and notre dame was very impressive down the stretch -albeit against "lesser" competition - than bama or miami or byu.

byu had a better strength of scheduke than both miami and notre dame. they only lost to the #4 team on the road.

i love jedd fisch, but he's not exactly knocking it out of the park in washington.

brady hoke and rich rod both knocked it out of the park for their first two full recruiting classes. i'm not sold on moore at all. we'll see. but the first african-american head coach is not going to be fired by the first african-american AD until things get really bad. like juwan howard bad. in fact, juwan might be a good comp to moore: brought in when no one else was available because the timing was off. placeholder until a better candidate could be found.

asp/danielson/ras plus a first and second is what i would expect to give up. some other team may beat that. or not if they know hughes only wants detroit.

toronto's plan was so horrible they were the best team in the regular season multiple years in a row. i'd take that. detroit has been missing star skill level players. hughes is that type of player. in his prime and one the same window as seider/raymond. if that requires giving up asp and some picks, so be it. depth players are not the issue for detroit's future. they have plenty of those in the pipeline.

its an absolute joke. the biggest laugh is not giving bonds or clemens enough votes to even stay on the ballot! because of roids! or schilling because of politics. and instead you vote in ortiz! and pudge! and bagwell! and now kent! ortiz was CAUGHT but because he's fat, happy, and plays for the red sox he gets a pass. pudge miraculously lost 100 pounds in one summer which just happened to be the summer they started testing. bagwell and kent suddenly got quite large and starting hitting homers but could never have done roids... come on. sportswriters are some of the dumbest hypocritical beings on the planet. i was always on the fence about whitaker and trammell. theyre "hall of very good" for me. but if youre going to let in the likes of harold freaking baines and jeff freaking kent, then by all means whitaker and trammell both belong.
