yeah, and texas fans like you clamored for tom herman to get fired after no national championships because "TEXAS IS BETTER THAN THAT". And he was duly fired and paid $20 million to go away. and then what happened? they hired steve sarkissian because he was so great after spending one year with alabama's massive talent factory and now texas is a laughingstock. be careful what you wish for, tater.

michigan is 9-1 and ranked 6th in the country. texas is 4-5, has lost 5 straight, and just lost at home to kansas for the first time in 100 years. i think you need to relax a bit.

when i was in okc there was no enforcement. and i agree with you on the necessity. the place i see where its being really enforced is on a plane. theyre pretty vigilant there. but places like grocery stores and restaurants, people are wearing them willingly and nobody needs to be told to do it.

same type of thing here. covid has made things weird for everybody.

the wings have the caps second round pick, the avs' fourth round pick, and the golden knights' fourth round pick. they dont have any additional thirds.

i dont worry about anyone shooting me either. i was telling my tourist friend that things can get a little dicey. sorry to bother you, chas.

lol at ryan day to the bears. god, i hope the bears do that.

that should be a crime. i think its horrible to do that to a child that age. i mean, they havent even hit puberty yet.

when you were in high school? things are a little different now. much much different.

i'm hoping its a fad, but with the way corporate america has glommed onto it i'm not so sure.

my 13 year old and her friends sit around and classify themselves by their "sexuality" daily. omni sexual, bi sexual, and all sorts of sexual. its what they see on tik tok so they parrot it. kids, man, amirite?

last time i went to the art museum they were passing them out to people before they went in. you have to wear one to get in. i really havent seen an issue here. people just put them on to go inside. its the norm now. the train is a little different cause all types but even then its like 90%. have a good time! the governor has talked about ending the mandates before the holidays but i dont think that will happen.

my wife is mexican. she and her whole family laugh at it. white people telling them what to do and how they should be offended.

shootings downtown are up 220% since 2019. thefts are up. robberies are up. crime is way up downtown. i mean, if youre in bed by 10, the chances of somebody mugging you go down quite a bit! lol. have you been there at night recently? i think its because there just arent as many people as there used to be, so you notice the people milling around that you wouldnt normally notice just because there are usually so many people. and there are a lot more younger people around because i think so many people have moved there in the last few years. i'm only there on occasional work days and am out by 5 or 6 but its definitely noticeable to me. but oblong's from detroit, nobody will fuck with you if youre from detroit, lol.

yup! you're in walking distance to michigan ave if that's your cup o tea. the art institute is really close. millenium park is there too, but it'll be pretty cold so... its snowing right now as a matter of fact.

exactly. its a superficial thing. my company - like every us company - is now obsessed with D & E. so its all about pronouns in emails, diversity clubs, "allies" with minority groups, so we are required to watch multiple videos by people talking about their oppression and all this other stuff about how tough it is for them in this racist, sexist, homophobic country. which, ok. but if the company wanted to do something to really help people, they could pay them more money, give them a pension, give them job security. THAT they wont do. but pronouns? videos to complain? clubs to join? theyre all over that. that's easy. as an aside, if someone asks me to call him "they/them" i will gladly do it. im not here to offend anyone and its not a big deal even i personally find it silly.
-
as for pronouns, all of upper management in my company has been "voluntold" to do it. they all do it now. i see it on corporate and law emails about 30% of the time but its growing. i find it ridiculous, but it is what it is. it doesnt hurt anyone (other than the english language). i dont do it, but im sure i will be told to at some point. they/them annoys me. its not correct, there is only one of you! but again, it doesnt hurt anyone other than the english language.

you have to wear one inside, so people do. when im on the train its about 90% compliance. i went to the movies last night and people wore their masks for the most part, even after the movie started (i didnt, i was eating popcorn, but most other people did). keep your eyes open down there, there's been a lot crime lately. you'll be ok, just dont be stupid. are you staying close to the theater? its about 4 blocks from my office.

if fickell and campbell get offers (and they will) they should jump at them. you only get so many chances to make $5m plus. ya gotta take it. especially campbell. he's at iowa state, ya gotta get the eff out of there before you have a couple injuries and go 3-8. fickell is in a recruiting hot bed and can live off ohio state's scraps (as many coaches have done before him at cincinnati). campbell is in iowa for god's sake. the issue for them is theyre midwest guys with midwest recruiting ties. all the job openings are on the coasts. now, one scenario i can see play out is tucker leaving msu for lsu and then campbell or maybe fickell taking the msu job. or franklin leaving penn state and fickell taking the penn state job. neither of those two seems right for usc, lsu, miami, or washington.

The Tigers are nearing agreement with Eduardo Rodríguez

I changed mine to God/Emperor

coaching jobs open: usc lsu florida (probably) washington miami (maybe) gonna be some big time musical chairs next year. tucker and fickell should be moving to greener pastures for sure.

and the fact that deshawn watson "only" won 4 games with that houston team doesnt mean watson isnt an awesome qb, it means houston is a god awful franchise that arguably has less talent than detroit. i dont think the lions should trade the farm for deshawn watson, but if they could get him on their team, he would instantly make the lions a much better team. much much better.
-
again, i dont get the anger at campbell. this team has ZERO ability to pass the ball. none. they have no receivers and one of the worst qbs in football. other teams know that. and still, they came in and ran the ball all over a really good steelers defense. even with zero passing. they got decker back and used nelson as a 6th olineman/tight end. the whole team is one dimensional and they still rushed for over 200 yards. that's a good thing. this team has zero talent and lost some of its better players to injury again today. it was a good effort in horrible conditions. my only quibble is still playing goff. not because he was somehow to hurt to throw downfield, but rather because he is just incapable of playing qb at an nfl level anymore. if boyle is remotely healthy, he HAS to play. has to. goff just isnt an nfl player anymore.
