  1. i hear ya. i'd rather pay correa but i get your point on cost.
  2. just as an aside, there is no need for an equal rights amendment....
  3. correa should have about 5 more years in his prime. baez will have 3 and is already worse than correa. look, if you guys want baez that's fine. but i can envision a million posts for the next five years about javy waiving at balls over his head, making boneheaded defensive plays because he's not paying attention, and a steady decline in his defense that erodes his value. but he will hit some monster home runs. i think they should sign correa because he's a better player and is younger and will thus likely be a better player for longer.
  4. most of holmes' free agent band aid acquisitions have flopped this year, boyle probably will too. just as a reminder, eric hipple on mnf was 14-25 for 336 yards and 4 touchdowns. and he also ran for two more. needless to say, his career was kind of all downhill from there.
  5. i think two loss bama gets in over one loss notre dame. have you seen notre dame's schedule?
  6. if they had drafted mayer, then maybe simmons would be a nice one or two year alternative. but they have no shortstops that look like regulars in the system. dont overthink it, just get the best player. that's correa, imo. i wouldnt give too many years to baez as i think he's going to be 265/295/450 in a few years. but he'll get it from someone.
  7. on the bench where he belongs. well, that's not fair, he actually belongs on the practice squad.
  8. i dont think tucker has actually signed that contract yet, has he? still time for lsu to make it $10...
  9. they are who we thought they were.
  10. michigan is 10-1 and ranked in the top 5 going into the last game of the year. beat wisconsin and penn state on the road. only loss to msu in a game they should have won and they got screwed by the refs (as usual.in EL). how many of you would have taken that before the season started? hint: all of you except tater who thinks every season with any loss is a failure and cause for the coach to be fired. 7 seasons under harbaugh, 4 years with 10 wins. in today's day and age and with michigan's internal constraints, that's pretty damn good. i expect them to lose to ohio state because ohio state is the most talented team in the conference by far. but i expect them to finish the season in pasadena, which isnt so bad when you think about it.
  11. nd will not leap frog cincy or michigan this week.
  12. he wasnt "waving it around." you can think he should not have been there. you can think his presence there with an assault rifle was a major instigator to what happened. you can think he is the furthest thing from a hero and is as responsible for what happened as the people who attacked him. i think all of those things. but by the letter of the law and the facts of the case, the jury's decision was probably correct given what the law is. its not because of some racist judge. it's not because of some racist jury. its not because of the false narrative sent by the liberal media or the conservative media. its about the law in wisconsin and the facts of this case.
  13. randy understands college football in 2021. tater thinks its 1987.
  14. he's not going anywhere so you might as well just suck it up and root for your favorite team to win. i know how hard that will be for you.
  15. michigan state is a fraud. they have the worst pass defense in the COUNTRY. not just the big ten. theyve survived on luck so far. they should have lost to michigan. there no way an ohio state team taking them seriously was going to lose to them and yes, this is a preview for next week but michigan is better than michigan state and is at home so it might be a little closer, but it will still be a blowout.
  16. the idea that black people are treated more harshly in the justice system is borne out by the numbers. the idea that they are ALWAYS treated more harshly is not true.
  17. why does the nba social justice director feel the need to issue a statement on this verdict?
  18. if your twitter feed says so. and "rolling back abortion rights" has nothing to do with saving democracy.
  19. https://cwbchicago.com/2021/11/men-raid-mag-mile-store-and-target-another-nearby-unfortunately-we-have-some-looting-going-on-south-side-alderman-says.html right across the street from chicago theater. suv rams a police car and they find an arsenal in the suv. 😉
  20. we'll see. correa will likely get more than 300.
  21. glenn youngkin is not going to take away democracy in virginia.
  22. i'd rather pay $300 million for correa than $250 million for baez because correa is better than baez.
  23. there could be a myles garrett at the end of the rainbow...
  24. a vote for terry mccauliffe is a vote to "save democracy"? lol.
