i didnt follow the trial, but that seemed to be a clear cut case of murder.

you brought up abortion with respect to illinois, not me. and i wasnt trolling you, i think an abortion is killing a baby. its legal, but that's what it is. people just change the language to make themselves feel better that its just a medical procedure and no big deal.

he needs to pick up his skating and use his size effectively. he's a big guy who plays small. he should be running into guys and pushing guys around, and instead he's always getting checked and being passive. he should be a bigger version of bertuzzi or at the very least tomas homlstrom. but he's not. not even close.

i think ohio state and bama and clemson and the sec schools realize what college football really is in 2021: the minor leagues. and they have worked within the current system to take advantage of it. and im not saying "they all cheat and michigan is pure", i dont believe that for a second (although i think most of those schools do pay players and michigan probably has boosters who do too), but rather those schools can deal more effectively with their admissions and university to get marginal kids in and smooth over some of the rough edges on kids. i think theres part of harbaugh that still thinks michigan "doesnt play those games and kids are here to go to school" (as evidenced in his comments about michigan when he was stanford's head coach) and that might be the right thing to do for the kids, but is probably not the best way to get a top 5 recruiting class and keep them.

i think he's definitely slown down on the recruiting stuff. he came in like a house on fire and now he seems much more reserved. but he has put a younger, seemingly more aggressive staff to help in that regard. i dont know if we'll see the fruits of that in this class, but potentially down the road. where the really need to get better is in their nil usage and their transfer portal policies. but i still think a lot of that is out of their hands. if admissions is going to be a stickler for stuff, theyre not going to get a lot of these kids. xavier worthy to texas was a killer for them. kid just got tired of waiting for admissions to approve him so he went to texas. and texas is a good school! i think that happens to michigan more than it needs to.

so not birth, right? just at the moment modern medicine could keep the baby alive on its own? so about 20-24 weeks? i'm pretty sure most countries have a prohibition on abortions after that time period. likewise, almost all abortions in the us occur before that time. i'd be fine with a national ban on abortions after 20 or 22 weeks. would you? the "heartbeat bill" are too extreme, imo. even as someone who hates abortion and the way we talk about it sometimes, it is still legal and occasionally necessary and i cant agree with those bills.

i think its worse than he didnt accomplish anything, he got played by north korea. in fairness to trump, everyone who deals with north korea gets played by them. they have nuclear weapons and that threat is enough to get people to give them things. trump was no different than anyone else in that regard. its good to try new things in diplomacy, but i think he just ended with the same result and made himself look bad in the process.

how did the msu game get out of hand early? they were up by double digits in the 3rd quarter. and really, i love how you hope michigan fires a guy who wins 10 games in hopes that they can hire a guy who will win 11. the last time michigan lost a successful coach they hired rich rod. and then brady hoke. what gives you any hope that they will hire the next nick saban? your ideas for what michigan should be do not conform with the reality of the 2021 college football landscape. yes, they could be marginally more successful, but they arent going to be ohio state until they open the playoff to more teams. and even then i doubt they go to the lengths osu goes to ensure they have a winning college football program. honestly tater, you might just want to consider rooting for another team. its obvious you get no pleasure out of michigan anymore.

i get a feeling soderblom is a slower version of rasmussen, but i am definitely hoping i'm wrong.

nope, but you sure can kill em!

it isnt mine either. i was just making a joke. 🙂

well no....that's why i told him to come to illinois. illinois takes the opposite stance and markets itself as a comfortable place for all people to come kill their unborn babies, if that's what matters to you. its pretty much the opposite of texas. lol.

oh, no doubt people were outraged. i was responding to the comment "i'm not looking to be outraged by people left of center" by saying i'm not outraged by it. but there certainly will be angry people on twitter. one might even say the women's march twitter account did it just to draw attention to themselves...but that would be cynical of me...lol.

no one's outraged, its funny.

just to get back briefly to our previous discussions of the evilness of colombus (the explorer, not the shitty town in ohio), i was amused to see that people are now apologizing for even mentioning the number "1492" because it causes people so much pain. colombus living in people's heads even today. lol.

i always disliked them because of 1983 and that people drooled over ripken and ignored trammell.

sam vecinie ranks cade as #4 rookie right now behind mobley, barnes, and franz. compares him to chris paul in how he reads the game and makes unselfish plays. says the shooting will come around. chris paul might be a little much, but its nice to read good things about cade. btw, jalen green ranks 14. says the team is better when he's off the court, he's inefficient, terrible on defense, and selfish. but that he'll eventually be an elite scorer because he's so athletic.
