  1. The Tigers signed Johan Camargo to a minor league contract. only 5 Tigers position players have a higher career WAR than Camargo.
  2. Go Detroit Tigers, Inc! Kick some Minnestota Twins, LLC ass! The Phillies definitely have the coolest legal name.
  3. I remember when everyone was using that. I know it was just slang but it never made sense to me. Pitchers don't shove the ball. They fire it. They throw smoke. Even "dealing" makes some sense because is suggests smart pitching.
  4. You almost have to have a couple of power hitters to win now. I don't think it matters what position.
  5. I think it would get lots of attention, much like Cabrera's Triple Crown. The .400 chase I remember the most is George Brett in 1980.
  6. The biggest surprise is probably Damon.
  7. Always draft the best player available. I personally have a strong bias for drafting hitters over pitchers with early picks, but I really doubt any GM is worried about positional value.
  8. The ignore feature would work better if there was an option to not even know when they posted. Just make them go away altogether.
  9. I told you guys that the partnership with gambling organizations was going to be a problem.
  10. It's just a way for the ruling class to control the wages of the serfs.
  11. But they've never been shutout in games in which Rogers hits a homer.
  12. phew!
  13. Nothing is going to happen to him. He'll just get the signal that he can continue to do anything he wants and he'll do something bolder the next time. Hopefully, it will be after an election loss rather than a win.
  14. We've been hearing about the "big one" for 7 years. I'll believe it when I see it.
  15. Trump hasn't "organized" anything in his life...He certainly knew about it though.
  16. I've been guilty of that more than once.
  17. One of their best trades ever.
  18. It's Maytawn.
  19. While I disliked both the Leflore and Thompson trades at the time, I definitely miss thoses types of deals. Now, it seems like every trade is some wealthy team trading it's non-favoriote prospects for an expensive veteran.
  20. And sometimes what the team wants from a trade does not align perfectly with what fans want.
  21. I suspected that too. Regardless, being seen with us is not good for his rep.
  22. I don't know if I'd say "rarely", but it does seem like the team trading prospects loses more often than not. I think it's because they are often dealing from a position of weakness where they must trade a player who is too expensive for them to sign and the longer they keep him the less value he has,
  23. Woah woah woah! You weren't supposed to reveal that Aducci showed up.
  24. Something has happened in recent years, but I'm not sure what. It used to play like an average park with respect to home runs despite complaints to the contrary. In the last five years or so, it has become more extreme.
