yeah, the injuries explain his poor numbers the last couple of seasons. So, there is some hope for him.

We were wondering which catcher the Tigers were going to get in the off-season. They got him already! I was thinking the other day that the Tigers might get him when Arizone DFA him, but I lost interest when I saw his recent numbers. Kelly was good in '19 and '21, but has not done anything since then. He is younger that Haase and probably has a better chance of lucking into a decent offensive season next year.

Roster crunches are not something I ever worry about. They usually work themselves out through failures amd injuries. If not, then you've got a good situation.

Those are my two favorites as well.

There are thousands of older men married to underaged girls which is disturbing, but legal. It's legal in 41 states.

The case I remember the most was Luis Polonia in 1989. He had sex with a 15 year old girl. It turned out that the girl's mother had her made up to like an older women so that she could trap professional players. He was able to continue with his career. That kind of behavior was not quite as taboo in the 1970s or even 80s as it is today. It was always wrong and generally frowned upon, but you can see movie references of men with underaged girls which was supposed to be funny back then, but is unacceptable today.

Lower is probably better. It means most people didn't think of the same players you selected. It also means that you're old.

Must understand that baseball is not the top priority.

Chapman would be great. He gets on base, hits for power and is a strong defender. The only concern is he may cost too many years for a team in the Tigers position. You'd probably be getting a couple of bad years at the end of his contract which is a risk a team can take for winning now. In the Tigers case, those two years might be when they are most likely to be winning.

Price mostly followed Dickerson's lead which was a good thing. They worked well together.

I agree with pretty much all of this. The only thing is I'd be a little wary of is JD Martinez. He is one of my favorite hitters and I would probably be excited if they signed him, but he is going to be 36 and has had back and hamstring problems this year. I could see him starting to get very injury prone. I would like to see them get a proven slugger at some position though.
