Frazier is boring, but not terrible. It kind of depends on what role he would play. Would he be the starting 2B or a utility guy who also plays outfield? I don't know that he is more likely than Schoop to bounce back next year.

I just looked up his numbers: .233/.282/.429. for his career. Nolt bad. He wouldn't be the worst hitter in their line-up.

It would be a downgrade at shortstop for 2024, but perhaps the money saved is used for an upgrade elsewhere. Hopefully, he has a good first half and they can get something for him before he leaves.

Shop all the relief pitchers. Relievers have a lot more value to a bad team in trades than they have on the field.

Good interview with Malloy by FanGraphs. If this guy is any good, he is going to be a big fan favorite. He reminds me a little of Curtis Granderson.

Apparently, Justyn-Henry Malloy goes by the name of J-Hen. So, it's J-Hen the MudHen. I prefer Hank Malloy. That's the name of a hitter.

I started getting the flu shot regularly 7 years ago when I started teaching again. I do think it helps.

They probably won't be better on the field in 2023. I am looking to see what kinds of smaller moves they make and also looking to see how their injured pitchers progress. I can see them not making big moves this off-season and then going for it next year after they shed Cabera's salary and get more info on their young pitchers.

There are reasons for concern. However, they just did a major shakeup of the front office. It's hard to be patient given the last several years, but I think it's fair to give them some time.
