His MILB OBP was impressive, but his BB% has dropped from 11% to 7% in the majors. His K% has gone from 18% to 29%. I don't see him getting regular chances at age 27 unless someone gets hurt and he gets hot at the right time. It's not a move to get excited about or to complain about either. He gives them a versatile 26th player.

This may have been discussed already, but why are the Tigers done with Spring training so early? Some teams are playing through Tuesday which is typical of past springs.

Might as well ban toilet paper as well. Why should I pay for your toilet paper with my tax dollars? Bring your own toilet paper. If you forget to bring it, then you'll just have to hold it in until you get home.

I also am not making the assumption that either Baddoo or Carpenter is going to start the season in Toledo. One or more of the outfielders is likely going to DH frequently, so five outfielders isn't too many. Vierling or Schoop can back up at the corners in an emergency and if there is an injury, they can shuttle someone from Toledo.

I don't know how many Republicans were there, but the room wasn't empty.

I don't think there are many fans that still think that Cabrera is going to do exciting things at this point. He has been ineffective for a long time.

I played APBA as a kid. I tried to complete the full 1973 for every team, keeping box scores of each game and aggregating stats by hand. After a few years, I made it to early September. I have thought many times about finishing the season but have never gotten around to it. I still have the game and the stats in my cellar. I did finish the 1970 NFL season which of course was a lot fewer games than a full MLB season.

Nothing wrong with a tie. It's better than putting free runners on base.

I wasn't realy joking. Cabrera was a legend for 9 years which was a lot of fun. He's been an old out of shape replacement level DH for 6 years which is frustrating.

True, which is why Cabrera does block players. I'd rather see Meadows/Carpenter get the DH at bats and have an extra outfielder for roster flexibility.

They wouldn't be different, but their lives would be easier.

Has Baddoo been given a million chances? He was brought to the majors way too soon because he had to be on the roster as a rule 5 pick. He did quite well in 2021. Last year, he struggled. I'd say he's still a good prospect. If it weren't for his Rule 5 status, he probably would be debuting this year.
