I will admit that telling Trump to be quiet is always good advice.

Imagine losing 78 to 19 and thinking that you won.

Pipeline has him listed as the Tigers 23rd best prospect, but he has troubles with command. I think they just like writing his name.

What he did at the end of his presidency disqualifies him from any discussion of the merits of any of his policies. You can't openly try to steal an election and incite a riot and then expect people to sit around and discuss whether anything he did before that was OK. Let's stop pretending he was OK.

Trump has no principles. He has no morals. He is a con man and has been for over 40 years. He is a digraceful human being who doesn't give a crap about this country or anything else but his own self interests. It's a shame that so many have fallen for his act. And what he did at the end absolutely shows that his self interests collide with the US.
-
He doesn't have a lot of material to work with.
-
It was probably part of his plan.

I don't think most voters expected Biden to be a dynamic leader. They voted for him because he's not Trump. He's doing a good job not being Trump. It would be pretty near impossible to be worse than Trump

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
Tiger337 replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
I think players will be more likely to gamble if it is not taboo just like they were more likely to take PEDs before it became taboo. The bigger issue is there will be a lot more non-players gambling and lot more different types of bets which opens up the door for really wealthy gamblers with big stakes pressuring players to do unethical things. At the very least, it is no longer possible to trust MLB to consider the games best interests given their complete change of stance on gambling. Not that we could trust them a lot before that, but now it's completely gone.- 1,851 replies

I think MLB going from an environment of completely banning gambling and considering it the game's biggest taboo to openly encouraging gambling could change player's behavior.- 1,851 replies

Here's something different. The Orioles want to DECREASE home runs. Most teams have been trending in the opposite direction in recent years.- 1,851 replies

They are also actively partnering with gambling organizations who might have some ideas of what baseball should do. I am not a gambler, so I am curious what kind of game gamblers would want (beyond pace of game). Do they like the home runs and strikeouts or would they prefer more action? Do they even care?- 1,851 replies

I think he might cravck if the media ignored him, but they like to give him attention as much as he likes to receive it.

They have been talking about speeding it up. They could go in another direction if they decide that something else is more profitable. If they are going to have in game prop bets, it just seems like slower would be better.- 1,851 replies

Tiger337 replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
It would be the same amount of action. However, with more dead time, there is more time for gamblers to make bets, so speeding up the game might not be profitable.- 1,851 replies

Yeah, I know who he's talking about. Judging people's opinions based strictly on what country they are from is a strange way to go through life.

I am talking about individuals having opinions, not countries working against each other One example: I think our gun laws are too lax. If some random guy from Canada says that our gun laws are too lax, I'll agree with him. If some random guy from the United States says we need more guns on the streets, I'll disagree with him.

I predict there will be a scandal in major professional sports involving prop bets at some point. It might have already happened, but nobody has been caught yet.- 1,851 replies

I have never understood why so many fans care about that. How much money the owners make has zero effect on my enjoyment of the game.- 1,851 replies
