That 2020 Alabama team had Mac Jones, Najee Harris, Brian Robinson Jr., Jerry Jeudy, Devonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, and Jaylen Waddle. They might have hung with Matt Patricia's Lions that year. They came within a 5-point loss to (National Champion) LSU and a 3-point loss in the Iron Bowl from a National Championship. This Alabama team is worse. I sure hope this Michigan team is better.

He grew a little frustrated at the end of the conference at all the questions coming in about the play. He said something to the effect of "Rod's got that, I'm past it". Sounds like Rod Wood is working with the NFL league office and he has genuinely moved on and is focused on Minnesota.

Jamo has a bit of an ankle injury and is day-to-day, but "nothing significant".

Also said he wouldn't do anything differently about the play.

This is the first year (for me at least) where this game has felt bigger than The Game. That doesn't make intuitive sense, given this is a playoff and The Game is not, but I think there is something to be said for how the program has evolved. The last two years, the season was a huge success after Michigan beat Ohio State and didn't collapse in the Big Ten Championship. Anything beyond that was gravy. This year it feels like the season depends more on this game tonight (and hopefully next Monday too) than it did against Ohio State. While Ohio State always matters, there's a been there, done that feeling to beating Ohio State now, and that winning this - winning a semifinal, beating the SEC, going to the National Championship - is now the real next barrier for Michigan football.

No doubt. I'm not sure what franchise is in position to take him that would use him wisely. The Bears have Kmet and Moore, but would need to reinvent what's been working in order for them to maintain success with Williams - plus it's never happened in Chicago with any quarterback, and Eberflus would be entering Williams' rookie season on the hot seat... The Patriots and Commanders have nothing to speak of on offense. Maybe the Falcons if they ship Arthur Smith out of town and hired an offensive mind (Ben Johnson?) who knew how to use Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson? That would take lots of draft capital though too.

Maybe I'll be wrong. I was wrong about Trey Lance. The ownership rumor is manufactured and will never happen. I believe I had read that his dad was who started it though, later clarifying that it's just Caleb's goal to be a partial owner after retirement. It's his dad, not him, but it does seem to be putting the cart before the horse if that's a mentality he actually has. I will also say that I could be misremembering, because I can't find the report now...... To be clear, I don't care about the manicured nails. Not one iota... Painting "**** Utah" on the nails though isn't a manicure though, it's just stupid, especially when you go 0-3 in your career against Utah. Is he going to paint "**** lions" on them if he's drafted by the Bears? It's just immature IMO... You're right that he deserves credit for behaving reasonably with that moron fan, but it was the "everybody wants to be in these 12 1/2s" that made me cringe. Again, maybe I'll be wrong.
