  1. I missed the game until just before he came up limping in the 4th. Was surprised that he only threw eight times or something.
  2. Has anyone said where the passing game went? Was it just a flex to say we can win without a HC or a passing game?
  3. They definitely need to be on the phone with SEC, TV networks, and streaming services.
  4. Yeah Michigan should be on the phone tonight to SEC, ACC, ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Amazon Prime, etc.
  5. Again, I don’t know what to think about this. Is Harbaugh the Belichickian dark genius behind Spygate NCAA or is this Stalions kid the most industrious autist the NCAA has ever seen?
  6. Detroit’s three main problems this season have been discipline against mobile QBs, turnovers, and injuries. Three turnovers against Seattle and still Seattle had to go to OT to win it. One dimensional running game against Baltimore and timid play and play calling as a result. Detroit is still a step behind the top tier teams but could back in to the top seed in NFC then get CJGJ and Houston back for the playoffs in indoor stadiums. Then they have a chance against anybody. Also, Hurts is already dealing with a knee injury and they are going into a stretch of really tough opponents. QBs who run have a history of not making it through seasons intact.
  7. Will this board cry more if Gibbs gets carries on second down or if he doesn’t?
  8. He should get some looks on jet sweep. He has a career average of 40.0 yards per carry. Sample size is low, but…
  9. Good. And with the week off, Ben Johnson should have had time to cook up some new looks for Gibbs, DPJ, and, let’s hope, Jaymo.
  10. Dallas missed one TD by six inches, a 2 point conversion by a foot, and a final TD by about two feet. A yard or so overall amounted to a 16 point difference.
  11. Lamar has been embarrassing NFC teams his whole career. Only Mahomes is as skilled, and this season Baltimore is managing Lamar’s workload to keep him healthy for the playoffs. Against Indy they fumbled four times and lost two then lost in OT. Pittsburgh is a division game with a tough defense that plays and game plans against him frequently. Baltimore is on a roll now. They’ve humiliated good teams two weeks in a row. If someone forced me to put money on a team today to win the Super Bowl in February it would be Baltimore.
  12. Baltimore is good.
  13. Glad to see the Seahawks getting spanked by the Ravens too.
  14. Blue helmets are awesome. All grays look like cars painted with primer.
  15. This is the NFL. You simply cannot have backups for every one of your starters that guarantee you no drop off in production, and you certainly cannot acquire backups for every position in moves at the trade deadline. Yes, Detroit is 6-2 and headed into a manageable schedule. Philly is their top rival for the top seed but they are going up against Dallas, KC, Buffalo, SF, Dallas (again) and Seattle over the next six weeks. That will be a really tough stretch. By the end of it, Detroit may have the inside track on the top seed. Also, by that point Detroit may have Houston and CJGJ back on defense to give them a boost into the playoffs. I’m sure Holmes knew the price on Young and everyone else and decided not to pay it. That is fine by me.
  16. Yes, I saw a report citing “multiple sources” in WFT expressing frustration with Young’s selfishness. Remember, MCDC fired AP for not adhering to the game plan. And he hammered the players for freelancing against Baltimore. They were not giving up assets for a selfish guy that would take a roster spot from someone they’ve been riding with from the beginning.
  17. You see, he hasn’t been #2 because Detroit actually has #1, 3, 4, 6, and 8. 🥸
  18. They kept saying they didn’t want to disrupt the chemistry. They must like their DL rotation — which put more pressure on a QB last night than any team over the past five seasons, and which expects Houston to return before end of season.
  19. Exactly. Had he thrown the ball we would be talking about Ben Johnson’s genius for scheming guys open. I love ASB but he did not execute that play. It happens.
  20. I agree it was a BS call but it actually was the call, the refs actually gave the ball to the other team, and the NFL actually called it a fumble in the stats. Some of the play calling rules on here are insane. You can’t run on 2nd down, but you also can’t pass if it’s 2nd and short, you need to be unpredictable except when you should be predictable, but you can only be predictable if you have certain players on the field. Anyway, though I don’t like the backward pass at that spot in the field, none of this matters if ASB hits Raymond wide open in the end zone, and nobody would be complaining if the refs had whistled the Reynolds run dead when he ended up at the bottom of a pile and stopped his forward progress.
  21. You can post in protest, but the refs called it a fumble and the Lions lost the ball. And yes, I know most of this board wants to pass on every down and every bad thing that happens is from running, except Goff throwing a pick or taking a sack, both of which could be avoided if they just pick Mahomes in the next draft.
  22. A fumble inside the five. A 70+ yard pick six. These two plays arguably represented a 21 point swing. Score TDs on both drives and don’t give up seven, and you have a 40-7 game.
