  1. daaaaaang usually you don't see them pull the pin on a grenade and throw it over their shoulders as they leave
  2. Does the RNC govern though? Maybe indirectly but I've always figured it was political operation and thus should be separate from governing, kinda hatch act sorta
  3. catching up on some of the clips of Lev Parnas yesterday...... he raised his right hand before he said that stuff. People saying the opposite haven't.
  4. yep maga calls c-span on the independent line all the time and also say democrat party
  5. I was being only somewhat facetious but that clip above is of their host begging some rich a-hole to donate to chump
  6. LOL at FoxNews running a telethon for trump. Best get some tote bags printed up
  7. Manafart rolling up on the scene again is also super sketchy
  8. Detnews now saying she got arrested: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2024/03/18/pro-trump-lawyer-stefanie-lambert-arrested-on-bench-warrant-in-washington-dominion-voting-elections/73023957007/
  9. Gotcha. I believe I heard or read that in this case, the judgement included that he couldn't get a bond from a New York entity as well.
  10. Would it be illegal for him to accept money from a foreign entity to pay for this? I legit don't know With this caveat you have raised I kinda agree w/ Chas, I'm surprised there's no one out there that would take a $500m chance to leverage a potential future leader of the free world. In the grand scheme of nation states 500m seems like nothing
  11. I think he knows that now any burnout with python and tensor flow can develop models way more power than he was doing
  12. Kenny didn't cheat in that game though that stuff fell on his hand
  13. Mr Pence, welcome to the resistance
  14. LOL imagine being a strict constitutionalist and also citing Sir Matthew Hale in a SCOTFS decision and also believing judicial review exists in the constitution
  15. I haven't been into the home recording studio stuff in a long long time, I was never that good at it. However, it has recently DAWn'd on me (great pun) that w/ how a lot of recording is done these days (recording super dry signal and applying effects later) that I can definitely at minimum record good dry signals for my bands record & send them to the producer. So I grabbed an Apollo interface and threw Reaper on a computer and made myself an electric guitar -specializing DAW. Right now using AmpitubeCS for my guitar sounds. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get it all connected and signal through, and even with my scant knowledge I was able to get pretty decent tones out of it, and it's fun!
  16. The Boebert stuff is news to me but yeah he was pretty strong on the President Hunter Biden Impeachment. I feel like his change of heart was happening before that. Maybe it was still the President Hunter Biden Impeachment but he knew what was going on in the smoke filled back rooms before they took their "strategy" public.
  17. Personally I'm looking forward to a decent long-form interview with Ken Buck where they discuss whatever has caused his change of heart over the last couple years. My favorite memory of him is when he thought he was being all cagey with Mueller in that hearing but basically walked Mueller into saying he had enough evidence to charge Slump had Slump not been president, and that he could charge him after his presidency.
  18. Yes, this is exactly my recollection from the time and I felt the same way but the Axios summary of the Loudermilk report said there was testimony contradicting that account so that's why my interest got peaked - maybe someone(s) actually did go under oath and contradict her?
  19. Sorry I'm probably not being clear. I'm saying I think that's the GOP strategy, not that I agree with it or that they're succeeding. But what I do think is that they don't actually have to "prove" that she's lying in order to get a lot of people to believe that she did and that she's not credible because they think she's a liar. I personally do not think she's a liar, but think that's what the GOP is trying to do to her.
  20. I suspect it was something that Loudermilk did harp on but I'm merely going off it being something Axios specifically called out in that summary. My guess is that if they can make people believe she lied once it damages her credibility
  21. I suspect it's even worse than this. I wouldn't be surprised if the algorithm feeds different individuals different "front pages". In this day it seems like it would be business malpractice not to do this if there's no law/regulation prohibiting them. It's the way it works now. WaPo needs the clean & clear if everyone else in the league is using it....
  22. I do recall when Hutchinson testified publicly there were news stories about several secret service agents that wanted to testify contradicting her, I think Ornato was one of them. My recollection from that time was that we never saw it reported that they went in and testified under oath, I remember thinking at the time that they were blowing smoke.
  23. I just read a quick summary from Axios. My initial feeling is if the GOP really thought this was something they wouldn't do a report. Everyone knows no one reads reports. In the summary I read, the thing that got me most interested was the direct testimony contradicting Hutchinson. They said it was specifically about the physical altercation between trump and Secret service, which while lurid isn't critical path of what happened that day. Other stuff just seemed like stuff I've already heard from GOP for months, like "J6 committee destroyed evidence" https://www.axios.com/2024/03/11/house-republican-report-jan-6-committee
  24. I watched the first few episodes on Netflix and did think it was pretty good but at this point I can't remember why we stopped watching it. In all seriousness, no I haven't read that, I'd be happy to hear quick summary
