It isn't just blitzing necessarily that disrupts Goff, but rather the pressures and hurries actually getting into the backfield with a collapsing pocket. We took care of the Brian Flores led defense and what he threw at us, so I'd like to think we could be equally successful against Todd Bowles.

Serious, but maybe dumb, question. What trade value, if any, does Hendon Hooker have at this point? Is there a world where a rebuilding team or QB desperate team like Atlanta gives him a try and you can get more than you paid for him?

I'll admit I am concerned with one other aspect of this game besides Mike Evans and the deep ball threat. The other concern I have is Tampa Bay's really good run defense. They have a run DVOA of -13.7% which ranks 8th in the NFL. They give up less than 100 yards per game on the ground as well which ranks 4th. I do worry they have the tools to slow down our running game and make Jared Goff one dimensional. Combine that with the fact that Todd Bowles likes to blitz a lot, although they don't rank high in total pressures or hurries, and I am concerned there. YaYa Diaby, Vita Vea, and Antione Winfeld Jr. are names to focus on for their defense.

I don't know where the end zone runs out for his hatred of Goff but he should really back off because he's way out of bounds here.

If Melifonwu is the real deal is there a need to pay CJGJ next season? I think we role with Branch, Joseph, and Melifonwu at safety next season and spend the money we would pay toward Gardner-Johnson on acquiring a #1 CB.
