  1. KC sat with Alex Smith for 2 years during a rebuild and then got Mahomes and had a ready made team around him. You know who was at KC for that and is now with the Lions, John Dorsey. So I am with in that we have to take a QB at some point because Jared Goff isn't the answer. I am with you that Malik Willis is one to watch for and that I like him. I don't feel though that passing on a QB this year brings about end of times and stalls our rebuild. I think this or next would be fine times to take a QB since we're 3 years away from competing as is.
  2. If we're picking #2 I would hope they like at least two of the QBs so we don't have to surrender a high draft pick to move up. At this rate though, we're doing a good enough job tanking that we might not have to worry about it.
  3. Almost every former Lions GM, given their drafting track record, would have missed on at least 2 of 3 picks. Quinn, Mayhew, Millen (he'd have missed on all 3), Ross, Schmidt, Russ Thomas, all of them would have found a way to end up with one or fewer starters out of that. So Eagles fans better hope Howie Roseman still knows what he's doing because that is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
  4. Jags don't need a QB which is good for us if they get #1. This team has almost no players that are currently starting that would start anywhere else. So while I don't wish for injuries like we saw today with Frank Ragnow, I do think our rebuild is being sped up given the great draft position we are likely to be getting as a result of this depleted and injured roster.
  5. The Trinity Benson trade, is that as egregious as the Gabe Wright trade up?
  6. Going to see A24 horror flix Lamb this week. This looks crazy and creepy as hell.
  7. LOL we're going to be the first 0-16 team and now the first 0-17 team.
  8. Terrific!!! Harbaugh coached a great game, his team played tough tonight, and they got the win.
  9. I'm ecstatic tonight. This was one of Harbaugh's biggest wins. When his team had their backs up against the wall they showed toughness and responded right back all game long tonight. This was a well coached, well played game outside of a few errant throws that missed their mark by McNamara. Other than that, I was really satisfied with the performance and the result. Great job Harbaugh and Michigan.
  10. Way to go Jim Harbaugh and Michigan!!! That was a big win and they hung tough the whole game. Great effort by us tonight and it feels good to hang tough from start to finish. I thought this game was going to get away from them when Nebraska got two back-to-back scores but Michigan answered back offensively and shut them down after that.
  11. They should have used a timeout there because that defense had no idea what was going on.
  12. A much needed touchdown there to stifle the momentum Nebraska was getting.
  13. It's a big game, so of course they are. That's Harbaugh's MO.
  14. That was sooooooooooo stupid. I can't believe how lucky Michigan just got there. He should have let that one go.
  15. Big TD there off of a lucky PI call. I'll take it though!
  16. Terrible call, Michigan got away with a generous pass interference call.
  17. Terrible play calling on the drive with a tight clock and limited time. Edit, nice run anyways.
  18. Disgraceful! This game has been one blown call, review, and delay after another.
  19. No, clearly not, that's why he got shipped out of town. Goff had a good season or two worth of football and then regressed back to who he normally is. Few QBs are worth the salary and cap space they take up and it's hurting teams when they pay 15%+ of their salary cap to a guy who doesn't live up to expectations.
  20. Whether it is Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan, drafting Malik Willis this year and watching his career progress, or any other QB in the league, you will never convince me that it is worth paying your QB 15-16-17% of your teams total cap space when they have won nothing of note ever and have that lack of success in the playoffs and against upper tier/above average defenses that Stafford has. You just can't anchor your team to that kind of a contract unless they are an elite QB. Just ask Minnesota with Kirk Cousins now, who is taking up 16% of their cap space. If you are preforming at the level of Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, you can get away with doing that. Otherwise, you're just as well off finding yourself a Baker Mayfield, Trent Dilfer or Peyton Manning the Denver years and taking that excess cap money and spreading it around to make your team better elsewhere.
  21. Actually not only was her middle toe longer, but she was missing her right arm as well. I lost my stat sheet on his numbers against good defenses (top 15 ranked or higher) when the old message boards went down. His record against defenses ranked in the top 15 was something like 22-61 and his statline in-terms of QBR, completion %, and total TDs were all down.
