If we somehow, someway got Will Anderson at #6 I don't think I would care what Brad Holmes did for the rest of the draft. He could go Michael Mayer, Darnell Washington, Sam LaPorta, and any Tight End he wanted at #18 if he got Will Anderson without having to give up draft capital to do it.

What if the Lions have Will Levis #1 on their board, are you still feeling comfortable with them considering him?

I am asking this question as a former, long time Matt Stafford hater and someone who wanted the new, shinier, cheaper, rookie QB in here for the longest time. Now, I don't and am prepared to keep Jared Goff as our QB for the future. But what is the logic for drafting Anthony Richardson over another player that could start right away, and moving on from Goff? Is it solely based on he can run and has higher athletic upside that Goff? Does his running ability make him more appealing than a guy whose played like a top 7-8 QB in the league the past year and a half? If Richardson were a great pocket passer instead, but didn't have the athletic upside, would the pro-Richardson crowd still be interested in him then? I spent the better part of 4 years from 2017 through 2020 wanting to run Stafford out of town, only to watch him win a Super Bowl the very next year. For those that want Goff gone and Richardson in, isn't that enough of a lesson learned?

Agreed, a QB still being available will drive the price way up, as it did in 2016 when the Eagles went after Wentz and traded with the Browns.

In 2016 the Browns traded the 2nd overall pick (Carson Wentz) and a conditional 5th round pick to the Eagles for the 8th overall pick, as well as 3rd and 4th round picks in 2016 a first-round pick in 2017, and a second-round pick in 2018. So to move up from 8 to 2 the Eagles had to give up their current first, a future first, a third, a fourth, and a future second. The Lions aren't giving up much less to move up to 3 I don't think.

Would Arizona except less though knowing what we have?

I have a hard time believing we get the third pick from Arizona without giving up #18. If I were Arizona I wouldn't do it without getting #18 back out at minimum both seconds from Detroit.

Bridgewater, at the right price, is the perfect backup. More of a pocket passer, who himself runs off play action, is a great fit behind Goff to step in if he was to go down. You can at least attempt to win faces with Bridgewater versus a guy like Nate Sudfeld.

I'd love them to get one of Cambell or Sanders. I think they need a LB in the worst way as I don't share their confidence on Anzalone as the guy who can QB this defense and play consistent football for a full season. But if they pass on a LB in the first couple of rounds I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as with most moves they make.

Dave Birkett saying on 97.1 the Lions are having LB Drew Sanders from Arkansas in for one of their team visits next week. Sanders has the high athletic upside and RAS that this regime seems to really value.

Where do we think Holmes drafts a Linebacker in this years draft and any guesses as to who it might me?

I prefer Gonzalez over Witherspoon due to his size and arm length/wingspan. That said, I can get onboard with taking a Corner at #6 if they can't trade back and don't have enough knowledge of either player and how they fit our scheme to be critical if they take one over the other. I just slightly prefer the measurables of Gonzalez.

If the two cars were allegedly drag racing, wasn't he at least adjacently involved to something stupid and reckless being done? Wasn't his drag racing a form on encouraging bad behavior by his friend?

Laramy Tunsil took a bong rip in a gas mask. The only thing that died was the bag of Doritos he scarfed down afterwards. Jalen Carter was allegedly drag racing at an insane rate of speed, allegedly weaving into the wrong lane of traffic. He was not only stupid to put someone else's life in danger, but his own life. Ultimately, someone did die that evening and while it may not have been exactly correlated to what Carter was doing, it was at least adjacent to it. Then, Carter showed up out of shape and not ready to work at his own pro day. And if he's depressed and feels bad about what happened I get that. He's a human being who was there when another human being, who was his friend, lost his life, as a result of something stupid being done. I would hope he feels bad and feels remorse for what happened. But showing up to a job interview in the manner which he did, his pro day, was not ok. He needed to get himself together and ready for the pro day and be open and honest with the world about the horrible situation. I don't know that he did either of those things.
