  1. Tigers can play him in RF and would then have an solid inhouse option if Tork bombs (bombs in the bad way). his road numbers are very good. Another LH bat is not the perfect choice, but even if he stays two years, he will be leaving as the Clark-McGonigle-Liranzo-Briceno wave arrives.
  2. big 4 Boras clients from last year all avoid a long wait this year: Montgomery fires Boras and opts in to 22.5; Bellinger opts in to 32.5; Chapman signs extension during the season; and Snell is first top 10 FA to sign. BTW, Snell has a 5M trade assignment bonus, biggest ever
  3. Bregman's approach is what Harris says he wants; so if you are spending big money ($175M+) you should get what you want and not settle for a really good player who Ks too much.
  4. I like the Tigers' chances to sign him more if they can offer $8M rather than $2M
  5. what a coup if Harris signs Sasaki. for the 2025 international bonus pool, the Tigers (and other teams like Seattle ) start with the most money - $7,555,500. I think they can acquire 60% more, in blocks of $250,000 from other teams. so that is $12,088,800. Not sure how much they have already promised to latin american teenagers, but maybe they can offer Sasaki $8/9M?
  6. Kikuchi to LAA for 3/63. FA starting pitching is going to be expensive this winter.
  7. if not for a crazy 4th quarter and some dumb Bear decisions, Chicago would have swept both games last year. they match up well for some reason
  8. and doing it with the worst defensive coordinator in the history of the NFL!
  9. I remember a lot of 2023 mock drafts had the Lions picking Richardson at 6. thank god for Brad Holmes. Richardson just completed 39% of his passes at home against an injured depleted defense.
  10. Caleb holds ball for 12 seconds for a 12 yard sack🤣
  11. Harris is probably looking at Hays or Dylan Carlson for a RH OF to complement Carpenter
  12. until Baez comes back, McKinstry is the back up SS at least; we shall see if he survives all season; AJ loves moving people around and needs McKinstry and Vierling to do that
  13. there's the running back-up QB Holmes has been looking for! (i get it - they don't want to be stuck paying him $23M in 2025 if he gets injured in the last six games - but going from a semi competent QB to Tommy DeVito is nuts)
  14. not sure why the Phillies might move Bohm or what DD is looking for, but he's under team control for 2 years; seems like a guy who could really help as a RH bat. If Tork fails, could try him at 1b, moving Vierling back to 3b. Harris and DD have made 2 trades already.
  15. Phillies are probably not interested in tendering a contract to Austin Hays at around $6.4M. He's RH, could be Carpenter's platoon mate in RF for a year.
  16. Rogers is going to be pissed when the Jets release him. Don't they know Aaron Rogers releases teams? Teams don't release Aaron Rogers. Now that Tom Brady is part of the Raiders ownership, there is no team that will touch Rogers, so 6 more games to go and then he can go meditate for a decade in darkness.
  17. just because Kreidler and Baddoo survived today does not mean they survive all winter
  18. obviously, there a decent chance Tork fails again - for a team that wants to return to the playoffs, you cannot have Ibanez as your back up 1B if that happens. Harris needs some kind of plan, but adding another RH first base only player would be hard to fit into the lineup.
  19. even if he is comfortable (and well paid) as Campbell's #2, some owner is going to throw 50M+ at him but I agree with this
  20. Lions roll; Aaron Rogers loses; all good!
  21. Dan doesn't have his defensive turnover yet either...
  22. Pederson just said Jax D cannot stop Det, so he hopes the offense can hold the ball a little. wow.
  23. pretty sure Anzelone said, its broken. hope i'm wrong
