  1. Fetter's voodoo is just amazing. Batter's hoodoo is not amazing.
  2. i think Cody has written this same article 5 times. the answer is no.
  3. Law has his top 100 list out ($); he thinks it is a very deep, talented draft, including 5 potential #1 picks. Crews 1 and Langford 2, who Law thinks might be a better offensive player, but not as well rounded as he has not looked good in LF. https://theathletic.com/4584350/2023/06/06/mlb-draft-ranking-prospects-2023-crews-law/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983
  4. the money is not really relevant; he is the only guy with a guaranteed contract in 2024, assuming ERod leaves and you are not counting Miggy's $8M buyout. I'd rather believe in/hope in Baez, than Rosario or Short or Workman
  5. he has the lowest K rate of his career and one of the best K rates compared to his SS peers in 2023, despite some really funny/ugly ABs he has been incredibly unlucky with BABIP, but that may be related to his power outage; if his power is gone, or he cannot tap into it because the team is asking for something different, then it will be hard for him to be an impactful player he is only 30, and I suspect in better line up he could relax and produce more; he is the team's best (really only) bet to produce 2.0 to 3.0 WAR at SS for the next couple of years. FG:
  6. Avila at least usually had a Hutchison, a Peralta, or a Leiter stashed at Toledo. Harris again doing lots of "observing." Sure hope he decides soon if this team sucks or not.
  7. GQP is so stupid; they constantly lower expectations for Biden, who then exceeds them easily. Biden is the centrist that everyone claims they want. Biden is the competent politician that everyone claims they want. BTW, the GQP's attempt to cut food stamps, will lead to more people getting food stamps.
  8. SSS, but changing training staff has not helped much it seems
  9. Vest-Foley-Lange are pretty darn good. I had tomorrow starred as big transaction day, but injuries have changed that and Ibanez and Schoop may be spared for now Twins play Astros tonight and if they lose, Tigers and Twins will be tied in loss column (again) Rangers must feel pretty stupid offering big money FA contracts the last 2 winters only to find themselves in ...1st place.
  10. This is so dangerously wrong. Trump beat Clinton by less than 80K votes across 3 states; Biden beat Trump by less then 45K votes across 3 states. If the DNC get out the vote was just a little stronger (or if Comey does not kneecap her), Trump is never President. Similarly, if Trump is just little less disgusting in his first term, he would have tied Biden at 269 and the House would have re-elected him. Trump absolutely has an EC path in 2024, narrow as it may be,
  11. can we go back to playing the crappy teams again?
  12. Pipeline and Law both have Teel at 6, so not a huge stretch and if you can get him for 7.3M, that gives you 1M to play with later. But Crews and Langford are both having seasons worthy of the #1` pick (Skenes, too).
  13. Trump will use EO to change constitution, just like Madison intended
  14. hate is a strong word, but boy do I hope Carpenter is ready Friday and Ibanez never comes back
  15. If Harris had kept payroll at 2022 level, he would have added 2 more FA for $13m, like Chafin + Mancini. I’m sure that made Ilitch happy. But looks like that was a bad decision to go cheap, and that looks worse now with how things are shaking out so far.
  16. (pre-emptive ducks) Niko Goodrum in SSS is hitting LHP well and drawing lots of walks
  17. ‘Fox and Friends’ Staged Interview Bashing New Chicago Mayor Two men who were featured in a Fox and Friends live segment inside a Naperville diner on the morning of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s inauguration didn’t just “happen to be from Chicago,” as correspondent Gianno Caldwell originally said. Not only did Caldwell invite Lavondale “Big Dale” Glass and Andre Smith to the interview, but the Fox reporter allegedly lied that the interview would be about violence, not Johnson, TRiiBE reported. The correspondent kicked off the interview offering his condolences to Glass, who lost his son in a 2021 shooting. “How are you doing, and what do you think about the election of Brandon Johnson?” Caldwell asked. While Glass replied the election was a “fluke” and criticized the new mayor, he later told TRiiBE that the question took him by complete surprise. “I was upset that he asked me that question,” Glass said. “And it kind of caught me off guard, because I’m still upset about my son.” He doesn’t necessarily oppose Johnson, Glass clarified, but just has doubts in general about politicians’ ability to address street violence. TRiiBE also found that both men had ties to Johnson’s opponent Paul Vallas’ campaign. Glass is the assistant director of a nonprofit whose founder endorsed Vallas, and Smith—who didn’t speak in the segment but was seated next to Glass—was a paid Vallas campaign worker.
  18. No doubt. I am just grasping for anyone. Knapp is hitting RHP well; hot April; decent May. Aaron Hicks? LOL. There are very few choices.
  19. Vest-Foley-Lange get it done, even if not dominant tonight. They would have had a pretty awesome BP if they resigned Chafin. 2.5 behind MN; 1 game in loss column.
  20. first RBIs - keep that baseball!
  21. Knapp would give them a LH bat at C and DH.
  22. Jobe has not given up an earned run all year!
  23. Henning has Langford #1, which is possible I guess
